i would feed it bloom nutes, but VERY lightly. autos seem to not need a lot of food even in coco, if i feed them what i feed my photos it burns the hell out of the tips

Yea that's what i thought too. I have some nutes i picked up at my local horticulture shop. It's called plantella, those where the only bottled organic nutes they had but i've read that they are very light so i suppose i can't mess up much if i stick to the 1/2-of-recommended-dose-per-litre rule

Hey guys, it's me again. I have another update to share, this time I fed her just slightly (1/2 of the recommended dose of really light organic nutes). At first i thought she liked it but then I noticed one of new leaves on the main cola (one on the left) turned purple :O
Do you think it's connected to that feeding, or maybe its got something to do with light since the main cola is still the highest despite the lst.

purple....i dunno. hope its a good genetic trait....
Well i hoped so too, but today i found that little purple leaf seperated from the stem so i guess the plant topped itself somehow? anyway its going nicely, i can now count 6-7 colas forming beside the main one, cant wait for it to finally start flowering :))

as long as no more turn purple and drop off......purple....thats weird
Yea, that was probably just a shock from a nute burn she expressed through that one leaf but obviously she recovered so now I'm just counting days untill flowering :)
Btw at a first glance, approximately what do you think I could pull from this grow?

need more than a first glance to estimate that. autos traditionally yield less than a photo, but they're usually smaller and don't have time to get as full as a photo. some people here report impressive yields from autos, most seem to get under a zip

Yea i know that. I wasnt really expecting much when I started, anything more than quarter pound would be satisfying since that was my 1st grow and i made many mistakes at the beggining

can't hurt, plants like 70% + RH while vegging, the less energy they spend transpiring, the more they can spend growing

get a cheap RH meter, the ones for reptile tanks work just fine, as long as you check them. put them in a sealed container with a small dish of damp salt. in an hour or so they should say 75% and stay there till you open the container. the good ones will have a nut on the back that you can turn to adjust the needle. make them say 75% if they don't and you're good. i check mine every 3 or 4 months and only have to make small adjustments occasionally
Hell i got autos starting and just ready to break soil ive been keeping my rh at around 85 90 to keep it moist in the air and prevent my pots from drying out while my seeds germ. They seem to love it 3 days and they are already about to pop out of the soil from seed I just planted straight in pot with no pre germination. After about the first week of them out ill pull the rh down to probably 65 70 percent

Yo yo yo RIU members, here I am again with another update. So, pistils are already showing, I did some lst and bent the main cola (lower right corner) for as much as I could in order to achieve equal canopy. Now I was hoping thats some f u can tell me is this right or should I change anything? Reminder, this is my 1st grow so I'm open for any kind of advice. Also, I noticed that now the soil is bone dry every few days, even on the bottom where the drainage holes are so I'm watering every 4 days and adding organic nutes every other watering which the plant seems to enjoy for now. Am I doing it right? pls feel free to comment :)

Hi, it's me again. i have another update to share with you. now my little plant has started to flower and today I fed her some organic nutes... All in all she seems pretty happy if you ask me but the only thing I noticed is yellowing and burned tips on lower fan leaves. So can anyone tell me should I be worried at this stage or it's not a big deal after all?

I wouldnt be worried, but I would watch it. Sounds good what your doing with water and feed. Some yellowing will occur durring late flower. But if it continues to climb up the plant or speeds up its a N def.

Okay, thank you. I was worried about nutes at first, but now i see she enjoys it after all. I decided to go with organic nutes for my 1St grow and since they dont have exact NPK ratio written I didint know if I was doing the right thing. The only thing I knew (read it here somewhere) is that since they are seaweed based nutes, they are rich in potassium

Well actually it sprouted exactly a month ago but as I said, it was neglected for around 3 weeks. Anyway I was expecting a similar answer and honestly, for this little stressed put plant anything above 5 grams yield is a success. This is my 1st grow so Im not that disappointed but at least I learnt a lesson for next time. My final question is what to feed her and when? I heard that with good soil veg nutes arent necessary for an autoflower, but can anyone give a concrete, empirical answer?
Don't beat yourself up too much, not a grower out there who hasn't had a grow gone wrong. You also make a great point, you learn something I think, with every success & failure. That's part of the fun of growing.
