awwwwwwwww :( Dude i'm sorry, life is cruel at times. Did the vet mention if they were premature? how long they had been left? I know my kitten went almost her entire first week with just drops of milk,I pumped her full of milk and never let go when i realized mommy couldn't feed her :( But almost a year later she's my best friend.

Ur great people man :)

they were very premature and went probably 1-3 days without their mommy. newborn kitties should be about 4 ounces, truffles was 2 ounces when we got him. last check he was about to 2.3 ounces. will measure him again today if he hangs in there.

Aw man this makes me wanna cry. I still hold out hope for the last kitty. But this reminds me too much of Where The Red Fern Grows.

Chanice is napping and truffles is napping on my chest until she wakes up. Were not letting this guy leave our touch at any time.

last guy appears to be on his way out. breathing is getting strained and shallow, heart rate is off the charts. this sucks.

Buck,

Does this finally open your eyes as to why I feel this way about all animals? It makes no sense how one animal is worthy of tears and you salivate over another. The way you feel about those kittens and think of their pain gives you pain, is what I experience whenever I go into a grocery store and see nicely packed Chanice and Truffles. But I can't cry because others will think I'm weirder than I already am.

chanice is worried now that she only served to prolong their pain. any words of comfort for her are welcome.

damn buck... I've been keeping my gf updated on this whole thing... she's gonna be bummed as I am... I give you guys much love for doing everything you could to try and save their lives. It was a grand effort... at least you both gave them a lot of love before they left this world and I believe in karma... something awesome is going to come for the both of you... it's hard to say that they suffered through your efforts, but I'm sure they felt your love and passion for them... the best for both of you... man hug to you and kisses to Chanice... stay high

It happens, but you did good? And I'm sure they liked the taste of the food while they were alive.

I understand nothing we can say will truly help you feel better. But in your heart you know you did everything you could. I wish I had more friends like you and your wife.

Please Buck tell your wife this...in no way did you prolon these kitties pain. You gave them love and warm comfort for the short life they had. All these kitty's knew in life was your warm and caring touch. These kitties knew you were trying to save them. This is a story that moves me to tears and I'm sad you you both.

Remember you were the only patch of happiness these animals got to experience in life.
