i am pretty sure the water is alil hard
also i put 30 gallons of water in a black 32 gallon trash can with four airstones at least 24 hours prior to watering with 4 capfuls of hydrogen peroxide "starting to put 1/2 tsp of epsoms salt per three gallons in there when i fill it to add mg for the hard water
i water with nutes at 6.3 and reg water at about 5.8-6.0 when i get runoff it usually comes out in the 5.0-5.8 area if it comes out lower i flush with 7.0 water i dont flush weekly because i dont have the time to do this i am very very busy

2x t5 6 bulb cfl fixtures
soil
sunshine mix no.4 with sunshine perilite "big and chunky" at about alil over 1 third ratio
i use the botanicare power series lineup also i go by there latest feeding chart first at 1/4 strthen move up to a half dose at max didn't get the zho root stuff

pot size
i root them in rock wool cubes 2"
they go into a 1 gallon pot once rooted then when a transplant is needed the either go into three gallon pots or 18 gallon red totes like the ones u store xmas stuff in yes i drilled holes for drainage and air havent mixed any worm castings or blood meal or bone meal or vermiculit" spangum peat moss is in ss mix no.4 and stays wet for a long time so i didnt use any" in my soil mix i plan to add the other stuff my next round
flower room is 12-18
lights
"air cooled"
2x 1k hps
1x 600w hps i know i need more but recently pulled 10 0z off a plant and im happy with that yeild "mainly from the big pots"
i do have fans but i need more just broke atm

co2 isnt much i use three different gallons for the fermentation method works ok does need more
meters
hanna waterproof ph
hanna ppm
rapitest soil meter
aqua test vial from gh for a 2nd ph for increased acurracy or backup if u will

problem
ok here we go all plants in veg show signs of lockout some at ppm levels of only 450 for 1ft tall plants they are yellowing brown spotting on leafs red stems and viens leaves curling in a "v" shape at top mainly some look like p. def or burn it all starts withbrown spots then yellow then phos. then burn then viens turn red i have tried everything and it keeps recurring all plants are treated the same i didnt have a ph meter untill yesterday so now i can get that in checkif it is the problem and this happend in three diff soils i was useing ffof and happyfrog premiier bk promix and now ssmix no 4 just bought that though and can tell if its helping yet transplanted two plants into it they are starting to look better in there but they also went from a three g pot to a 18g pot any ideas would be appreciated thanks this is second run of my legal medical grow

Very simple. All those mixes are peat based and the one (most important) thing you are missing from that long list of additives is Powdered Dolomite Lime.

I'd bet your soil pH is low as hell and until you add the lime or oyster shell flour or something similar you will continue to have lockout problems.

so i should add how much dolimite lime to it the label of ss no. 4 says made up of 63-73% spangum peat moss and the rest is high grade horticulture perilite and dolimitic limestone
i only have this mix in two pots right now and were just put into it three days ago they are looking better though also just put 8 clones into it they seem to be over watered though due to the moss i am gonna put a humidifier in veg so they dry a lil faster i am gonna get some pics up tomorrow night they all have the same thing so i am guessing its a ph prob or nute regimine problem but i switched those too was using ff and switched to botanicare power series i had the same prob with both sets of nutes i dont believe its from over fertilizing because i dont feed every other day like most of the other growers i know i try n wait till i see that they need it also i havent seen anyone use this series yet for cannabis most use cns-17 or pbp soil but i like the more bigger selection of bottles i would like to get to where i can feed when they need it instead of burning them and also the 18 gallon totes are still pretty hard to flush as u could imagine they grow huge plants

Well, the lime that's in there will take a couple of weeks to work after the initial wetting.

The problem with these mixes that have lime in them is, there is not enough added for the entire grow.

It's hard to over apply lime, but it can be done. "I" use 1tbl/gallon of mix or 1cup/CuFt of mix. But I also make my own heavily amended mix from scratch. You could add 1/2 of what I use and still be on the safe side.

Can't help you at all with your nutes, I have no experience with them.

LOWES has the powdered/ground dolomite lime you need. NOT pellets or hydrated.

all they had was penninton fast acting lime says raises soil ph and helps green up lawns the lady said its the same as the powder but in pellets i figure i can grind them myself into powder but should i be afraid to use it because of the fast acting part says starts working immeadiately ill prob use 1/4 of what u use for a bail

there is cat litter in the laundry room maybe its from that?? i just started growing last year so i dont know a whole lot

i can say that it did go away for awhile when i switched from ff nutes and when i needed to flush i did with 7.0 tap water and the next day i went there they looked like bad burn and curled upward while yellowing then they brown up starting at the tips and moving inward fast and little brown spots start in some spots recently on bigger fan leaves they are on 24 hour light btw im using the ac vents from the furnace to bring air into the room atm cant find fans accept online right now unless u go to the grow shop and they are expensive

Any local garden store sells 40 lbs. bags of dolomitic lime. I add 2 tablespoons per gallon of pot i.e. 5 gallon pot gets 10 tablespoons, mixed very well into the medium. I add cal/mag every watering since I use r.o. water. Lime takes some time to break down so cal/mag helps during this initial period. I use much of what you do and I'm guessing you are over fertlizing- initally start low and every other watering increase slightly watching for tip burns on the leaves. When you see that, cut back down slightly and you should be good. So, for you, flush well, mix lime with your water rather than sprinkling on top of the pots- this will work better. I also recommend you remove some of the top soil from each pot, since that's where alot of ferts tend to lie. Add fresh soil, and in a week or so you should be better off......

Do you not have an osscillating fan? if not get something else blowing around in there. Move the incoming fresh air around the plants. Thats your prob I would stake this years grow on it. As long as your not circulating proper.

i have a box fan and a very powerfule box server fan with 9 little 6 inch fans on it also i have an air purifier in the bud room and a carbon filter sucking the air through my lights and out of my room fresh air comes from the purifier and my heating/cooling duct in veg room air only comes in from the heating/cooling duct was getting to cold when my lights went off so i put them on 24/0 about three weeks ago and took the fan for more air circ.in bud room due to two other fans breaking i plan to get some fans soon just hard to find them cheap right now or even at all with them being a seasonal item right now night temps were cold i bet that had something to do with my problem the range was 20 degrees b4 now its only 10-12
im just looking for more random ideas since i have tried alot of things and its starting to get on my nerves because it keeps reoccuring

Yes I use botanicare......... but I keep it simple. Liquid Karma, Cal/Mag, Pro Blend Veg and/or Blend and Sweet in flowering. Also some root stimulator bacteria. Nothing else until 6-7 week of flowering some PK 13/14. I think you are using too much and causing issues. Botanicare loves people like you who buy their whole line. Just not necessary to get a quality product.

This is learned over time........ I do much by watching the plants closely every day. You can follow th direction on the containers, but start slow (1/2 strength) and work your way up to full dose if they need more. Below is what I do:

Veg-----In a 1 gallon water container, I add 126 ml of Cal/Mag, 180 ml Liquid Karma and 540 ml of P.B. Pro Veg. I fill the container with plain water. THen I use that, generally about 1/3 of the container in my 22 gallon water container. You may need to add additional Cal/Mag if you see those deficiencies.

Flowering------- IN a gallon container, I add the same as above but add ml Sweet too. Same process otherwise.

The 1st few weeks of flowering, I mix 1/2 veg and 1/2 flowering to provide enough Nitrogen.

If the plants turn lighter green, increase the fertilizer dose. If they are too green, water with plain water for a week or so before adding more fertilizer, but a lighter dose. Pretty plain, keep it simple. I grow in pro-mix and stay near 6.3 pH for everything that goes in the pots. Raise it slightly in flowering.

7.0 pH is way too high......... flush you grow medium well with fresh, pH'd water and start over slowly. Things should improve in a week. Hope this helps- it works well for me. Look around for some of my successful grows.

ok so i tested the runoff of my super silver haze and it was coming out at 7.1 from 6.3 in so i flushed with a ph at 5.13 and out came 7.33 from the lime in the ss mix no.4i added to the top of the pot so way to high right i flushed with 4.34 ph and it came down to7.25 so i gave it 4.14 till it came down to a 6.72 then i gave it 3.92 ph and it came out a final drips at 6.47 ph am i on to something? or what it almost seems cruel to give my girls water that low alsoused epsoms salt and earth juice's organic microblast at a ppm of 210 so my plant wasnt bone dry
