Reduce lumens? NL grow

Is it true I'm suppose to reduce lumens during flowering stage?
Higher lumens for vegative?

come someone explain this I have a 4 day old NL#5 auto+fem sprout under a small cfl and Im doin a single grow with cfls

Flower should be double the watts of veg or that is what I do. You can hardly over do light in flower.

Using cfl I would put as much light and as close to plant as you can.

when in flowering stage i will change some of the 6500K bulbs for 2700K bulbs because this will simulate autumn.

I run my hps during flower but, the last 2 weeks I raise it 8 inches or so to resemble fall.

Maybe you were accidentally misinformed. For vegetation lumen requirements are lower than in the flowering photoperiod. A single plant can vegetate properly with 2500 lumens. In flowering a plant can grow successfully with 10,000 lumens.
