you can start reducing it on 6 th week 1/2 hr less light then 7 - 8 th week 1 hr less should work good

I totally agree and support this post! :)

reducing light allows the buds to ripen up Supra. Some strains refuse to quit putting on new calyxes, but sooner or later, you have to tell them it's time to stop or your older resin glands start to deteriorate.

I personally do this during the last week or 2 weeks of flowering. It tells the plant that its almost time to harvest and they will strive harder to finish.I go to 11 hours of light 13 hours of dark,2 days later go down to 10 hours light and 14 hours dark.and so on,i usually go no less then 8 hours of light and 16 hours dark.Hope this helps

That is why you wait until most of he growth is over and start in week 6-7. Not all strains need help ripening, but there are some that definitely do and this method can be utilized on thsoe strains.

might want to run it 12/12 all the way now and only begin this if you see slow ripening, then do this next time, that way you know if its beneficial or not.

if you are not familiar with the strain, do as sso suggests.. I would... You can always ripen the following week if need be. no sense rushing now, you have come a long way baby ;)
