A little A/C advise guys this time of yr keeping both the Evaporative-and Condenser coils is critical.
Keep those filters clean.

A dirty filter and a Evaporative coil will cause it to freeze up!
A dirty Condenser coil will cause pressures to rise as the temps.outside increase to a point where the
compressor highside pressure raises the suction pressure to a point its too high to cool.
This is also very bad on the compressor, and Condenser Fan Motor.

Yeah that is the downside... I know for sure if it does not run at lights on that room is gonna get very hot since it stays closed and it got hot with just the LEDs :) If it happened close to watering time it might even take some down hard those airpots will dry out quick in the wrong conditions. My main worry with this ac is the drain pan filling up and stopping the a/c from running. So far that has not happened after several weeks of use I really need to drain it and see how much water is in there. I'm guessing either the air stays dry enough that I'm not going to have to worry about that or it's one of the ones that tries to vent as much moisture as it can out through the exterior vent. I don't remember reading in the description that it was though...

as far as the home a/c, since the temps have gone back to < 100 the last couple days, it's been working great ;) Even got cold enough last night at 4 or 5 in the morning i had to turn it up.

Ive got a few of the LG brands and just sit mine on a milkcrate with a 2x12 across for em to
sit on then let the water drain in a 5g buckett.

Does yours have the water level deal where it shuts off.......Or the ones with a Element to
evaporate?

    • Central units need to cycle on n off or they will freeze up.Especially if there evap.coil is a little dirty,or just a little low on charge.

Yeah that's what happened the first time.. I accidentally left it in the on position... the time after that, I accidentally left it too low (lower 60s) for too long... the last couple of times recently have just been having it set in the 70s with the upper 90s/100s heat and fan on auto... for some reason it just ran itself too long wasn't my fault that time I don't think setting it in the 70s is unreasonable :)

Just had a/c guy by a few weeks back so the coil should have been cleaned and he checked and said it was good to go on charge, tho I don't know if he did anything or just checked. Since I figured out it was just running it too much I haven't had any issues (other than being hot) since I've just set it up higher when the temps are that high... no problem for the plants, just not as comfortable for me.

This is still uploading now, but says it will probably be done in about 15 minutes... one of my best, and I kept it short :)

Setting in it the on position on the T-stat,the outside unit will cycle on the temp its set on,But the inside fan
will run all the time.
Nice Vid.Looking very impressive!!

Aces of spades if I can grow enough to select pheno... maybe not if i only had one or two fems to choose from.... both my favorite high and smell/flavor/bag appeal, but there are some phenos with real quick tolerance buildup I wouldn't want one of those :) if i just had to pick one random female without much selection i'd probably go apollo 13 or timewreck there's not many phenos and they're all dank :) both of them stand up pretty well over time with tolerance they won't be what they were the first time you smoked'em but they still get the job done day after day :) i prefer apollo on the sativa side, timewreck on the indica. the more sativa timewrecks for me are pretty similar to apollo. timewreck would be the way to go between those two if you're looking for a hash strain tho :) i've grown a few tga strains but not close to having sampled most of their stuff yet :) after this current batch of seeds i'll probably have tried almost everything of theirs as far as the individual parents :) (ie some crosses have the same mom and different dad and i've had one of the mom crosses and another cross by dad but not all possible combos :) )

So with all this pheno hunting talk you got me thinking about breeding and what not, and im curious could you theoretically breed a plant down to the point that its had only one possible pheno?

An IBL is pretty close I'm not sure it still only has one pheno or not. Good question for the breeders forum but way over my head since I don't :) I kind of like the variability... one pheno it better be what you want because what you got is what you got.

I'm thinking I'm probably gonna go ahead and get another HPS light in a week or two... the 600w HPS buds are like twice as big as the 240w LEDs (which you'd expect really seeing as how they're 4.5x the power draw)... anyway, I'd rather get a kick ass LED like a california lightworks 800w but I just don't have the $2k lieing around for that :) So prob gonna pick up another 600w or 1K lamp... take the veg LEDs out and put'em in the veg room and concentrate the 240w LEDs more so that they overlap and have a closer effect to the 600w. They're not as close together and overlapping as I've had them in the past. Growing this many plants is kind of a pain in the ass at times... hard to justify giving up 2x the yield on the same # of plants... really makes me see what I could do under a 1K. I think the a/c might handle another 600w with no extra venting but a 1K definitely going to have to run a fan and have it vent out the window next to the a/c. Of course electric is the big issue...

Just checked out my cuttings... got several apollos, aces and timewrecks rooted... hurrah! Still have several ace phenos not yet rooted so that is a concern as i'd like to get one of each just in case one turns out to be the super bomb. The one I do have cuts for already though is the shortest, squattest pheno and probably BCS dom so that's a good start. Shit gonna have to buy more base soil...

Small update... finally finished watering. 4/6 Space Dawgs are above soil. I gotta get the big 200w CFL hood set back up today for the cuttings and space dawgs to go under... gonna do some rearranging on the plants by height tonight and some light adjusting... i may pick up a new HPS light while i'm out today not sure. Should be moving around 10 cuttings into solo cups to adjust to soil before I drop'em in a big pot.

I wanna put one more 600w next to the other one, take the veg LEDs out and get'em over to the veg closet, and concentrate the remaining flower LEDs more over the plants they're covering. Can the a/c handle one more 600w with no extra venting... we'll see :) Can I find a place to plug another 600w in without blowing fuses? Also we'll see. Do I wish I knew more about upgrading electrical? Definitely.

Looking good Reef once you get the other hps you should try putting the 2 hps up then put some leds at the same height around and in between the hps so you get both spectrums over all the plants I bet you'd get some nice results that way not that you aren't now I just think that the plants would love the dual spectrum imo

They probably would but I got more plants than I got (effective) lights for. The LEDs will put out plants like a 600 on their own I just gotta concentrate them more so they get more effective overlap. Adding the extra 600w will allow me to do that and make sure all 18 are getting enough lights to put out some monster buds. The goal is 1.5lb/600w - 6 x 4z :) and 1.5 lb for the LED plants... About 1g/w for both the 600w on super lumens setting and also for the LEDs (based on power draw). Go big or go home tryin'.... I don't know if I will make it but I think I will probably get as close as I've gotten before to the 1g/w goal... gonna go get my co2 tank filled today too and get that pumpin' in now that we're at the end of the stretch.

Hey man, what kind of co2 controller are you using. I need to pick one up soon.
