Just finally got a prescript for Alprazolam, only got .25's to start with since my doctor knows I have a substance abuse problem. Anyways I got 56, suppose to eat 2 a day but its 12 days later and I'm all out. Do I have to wait 28 days to get my next refill or can I get it sooner? Can't find the answer on any of the papers they gave me.

dude you're doing exactly what the doctor try to make you not do. you are going to have problems getting this prescription refilled early. and on top of that you might have problems with your doctor going forward if you so try to do so. doctors have the ability to look into pharmacy records for refills and requests. not trying to be judgmental but perhaps you should follow the prescription dosage properly next time. not only that you don't want to be going off of a benzo withdrawal so please learn. Perhaps your doctor can provide a safer drug you can not abuse in the future, call and explain the situation. Best of luck.

Yeah I mean I guess but I told the doc I've been self medicating for quite some time now and I need atleast 1mg of alprazolam, he just cant start me off on those so I have to work my way up. I'm not trying to fill the script early I was just wondering if you HAD to wait the full time.

if you used your health insurance provider to purchase the meds at the pharmacy, than they won't let you refill before the 30 days for a controlled substance.........if your doc runs your MAPS, and sees multiple fills, your done forever, black listed by all doctors in your State. It takes them 5 minutes to pull a report from all pharmacies in the entire State to see what you have filled, where, when, and what doctor prescribed them.

you're gonna have to wait bud...........have you given up on the Road for your needs these days just because of a silly letter? lmfao.

Yeah I kinda realized I'm going to have to wait, o'well. The answer to your second question is yes...for now. I still go on occasionally to see the prices and what not but in the letter it also said "A civil penalty has or will be assessed in the matter" even though that means it would just be a fine of some sort. Pharm Meds are too expensive on there unless you get from India which is where my last pack got seized from so anything over seas is out of the question right now. Its been over 30 days since that incident so I'm kinda just sitting back and seeing what's gonna happen.
