Reflector Hood?

I'm gonna put some reflector hoods above my cfls. I am gonna use cardboard. Should I use the shiny side of aluminum foil to cover the cardboard or can I just cover the whole thing in duct tape? I'm not really trying to go buy more paint since I've already been to the hardware store like 6 times this week.

You can get an emergency blanket ( mylar ) for $3 at wal mart

depending where your at it could be less

i got this from my wal mart for $3 and it was enough to cover my whole dresser cab i built

its in the outdoor / camping ( sporting goods ) section

foil reflects the heat back to your plant and ( can ) cause burn spots

not saying it will but it does happen

Idk, I made some hoods to put over my lights but idk if I'll keep them up. Seems like my plants could get hurt from the hood if for some reason they fell. Plus it makes it a lot harder for me to see what's going on in my pot. The lights are so close to the plant at this point that the hoods are covering the entire pots. I guess we will see how they look later
