Hi, I am building a CFL reflector/fixture.
Am wondering if I should put glass/plexiglass on the bottom of the fixture.
I will be using it of a ebb an flow small system, 2.75 sq.ft. grow area.
From what I have read, the plants may reach the fixture but will not be damaged butting up to the glass.
Just need some advice from the knowledgeable people here.

dont use anything below the light cfls are already weak on there own why would you wanna lose more light

i third tht no nothing dust and dirty galss with low light level to start, with why bouther to grow

Reflected cfl light doesn't do much IMO....direct cfl light is only good at a few inches...reflected cfl light from even further away can't do much....I don't use em...white walls
