you mean regs as in schwag i suppose, and that is grower error most of the time, either in genepool selection or in growing/curing stage.

Most regs (shwag) are produced in mass quantities. Usually the strain is chosen for yeild, ease of growth, flowering time, and maybe (big maybe) quality. It takes a lot of space to correctly dry and cure 100s of pounds also. Then throw in the fact that most cash croppers don't give a crap about anything but weight. Then pack it into a brick and let it go to America. Once its here sometimes it gets to dry, or it was not dry enough and it molds. Not to mention when you smash a bunch of seeded weed the nasty tasting seed oil makes its way into the buds. These are just a few reasons. When I has access to lots of regs we would sometime get a pound or so of fantastic quality and then you would notice that some of the lower quality pounds were the same strain but something went wrong (see beginning). When learning how to grow sometimes shit just doesn't go as planned and I'm sure alot of that makes its way into the reg market.

Mostly money hungry fools that don't want to learn how to do it right though!
