regulating fans

How do you regulate air temperature in a grow tent? Do you run the fans on timers or are the fans on all the time or do you use a thermostat control. Some of the fans I've been looking at are less expensive but do not have a way to regulate the speed or on/off switch. I've seen one fan that has thermostat control on it but little pricey but I'm not sure if it's really needed. Right now, I'm considering a grow tent 7'x7'x7' because I may move within the year but may build my own. I will probably start with 600w HPS light and get another one if needed.

That light might do OK. 1000 would be better, but I get beyond myself...

What I really wanted to add is that I do not think that using heat to control
fans makes sense, as fans move around when what you need is to move
hot air *out*

Get a ducted lamp for your 600W bulb (this is what I use btw) and you
should not have too many heat issues.

Good luck,

JD

P.S. Do use fans. Point them at your plants and have them oscillate.
This will help strengthen them. I want to clarify the above: fans good. :0)

fans all the time.
I run an exhaust fan through my a/c reflector, and a circulation fan.
