Rehydration of over dried bud?

Hey RIU,

My condo is typically dry and my RH is at a constant 20-25%. Well I recently hung my first harvest to dry and it dried up in 3days.. Not happy with how dry these came out..

How can I get some moisture into them or do I have to deal with a dryer bud? I moved them into mason jars and plan on curing for a month.

Any tips are greatly appreciated!

I THROW IN A FEW DECENT SIZED STEMS...leave jars closed longer than normal..Remove when moisture is returned! It might take a day or 2.... GL

Interesting! Did it change the taste at all?

I do the same thing(well, have) and that's my 'trick' too: leaving bigger stems on and packing earlier--->just keep close eye! Rehydrating? I wouldn't think a few leafs/stems would hurt at all either, like was said already....

Let us know how it does.....

Not sure what you mean? I typically don't sample my buds until they have at least a week of 55%-62% RH. I try to go 1 month if possible. So adding a fan leaf or two means I got my bud too dry well before I tried to cure.

I wrote that without further explanation (4/20 celebrations tiring me out)...What I meant was with throwing a leaf and stem in there to rehydrate, would it taste different with having the leaf in there. But then I realized I wouldn't keep it in there for the entire cure process. And I too would only sample my smoke until fully cured :-)

I don't really know if the taste changes. I just know my buds dried too fast and I needed to rehydrate. Its a last ditch effort, obviously not as good as a proper dry and cure.
