Well I hope you are, so we can put this whole thing behind us.
I'd like to think that everyone is given rep because they positively influenced somebody else. There help was so moving that the rep is gained over respect for the knowledge that was shared. I'm calling it a night. So good night everyone, and goodnight billyblunt.
Also, I might not have much rep, but I hope that one day my experience and knowledge can be shared, and I become reputable. I know this is just a website, but I think we can all agree that we are passionate about what we do here. So goodnight everyone : )

This is the problem with the rep system. It doesn't work very well. I have recieved rep faster in the last couple of hours than at any other time period, despite the fact I have spent most of that time arguing with this kid, and haven't really posted anything constructive.

I totally agree that it should be about knowledge and helpfulness. I would love it if the concept of negative rep was removed from this site completely.
 
the whole rep thing is nothing more than a glorified popularity contest and an avenue for revenge a spiteful behavior IMHO.. I never liked ever since like 7 yrs ago when I first encountered it on the amx mod forums.
 
Yeah, rep systems don't work. I don't believe there's any way to modify them to give an indication of someone's reputation on the site. Try not to take the rep system too seriously.
