Where have all the republicans gone? Gone to donors everyone.. When will they ever learn.. When, will they ever learn?

Is there a Peace President among them?

Are there any "Good Christians" left in the Teapublican party?

Decided to do a little research. Instead of starting with the man, I figured I'd start with the state he governed. In 2008, the state ranked 3rd in per capita personal income, and the state had a gross state product of 365 billion. This is a year or so after Romney's term. So, is it safe to say that he at least knew how to run his state (economically) ?

Anyone who says they will vote for obama simply has not done their research. I am pretty sure he wont be running but voting for obama or any other dbag mentioned in this thread other than Ron Paul is a vote for oppression, war, corporations, puppet dictators, destruction of the environment, tyranny, bankers, slavery, destruction of our libertys and freedoms, and more. Do your research before you vote please.

It is also a vote against Marijuana - something we all hold dear here.

also to anyone saying they are voting for obama: When is the last time you followed any news that wasn't from the mainstream media? Not since obama was elected or never at all?...thought so...

LOL maybe you should do some "research" yourself, Obama announced his campaign a little while ago. Love it when people pontificate and dont know their ass from their elbow.

There is some debate as to if we hold dear the Green of Grass or the Green of the Cash.
We are not all on the same page for the legalization effort.

Thank you for contributing to this thread.

Republican Tim Pawlenty, the former two-term governor of Minnesota, has decided to explore a run for the U.S. presidency.

Affectionately known as T-Paw by his fans, Pawlenty declared his intentions in a video on Facebook.

"There is a brighter future for America… We the people of the United States will take back our government," Pawlenty said. "Today, I'm announcing the formation of an exploratory committee to run for president of the United States."

"Join the team," he added, "and together, we'll restore America."

Since his second term as governor expired in January, Pawlenty has remained an active political player and has long been telegraphing signals about a potential run for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination.

Pawlenty has recently visited major election-year states such as Iowa, New Hampshire and Ohio. In January, he released a new book, entitled Courage to Stand, and spent most of the month on a promotional book tour. He has also been a frequent participant in the pre-election news cycle, grabbing headlines by criticizing the White House and discussing his potential competitors.

When it comes to financial backing, Pawlenty's star has been on the rise, and he stands at the upper end of prospective Republican presidential candidates.

Pawlenty's leadership PAC -- Freedom First PAC -- raised about $3.3 million during the 2010 election cycle. This ranks his operation as the No. 5 most prolific leadership PACs in terms of receipts during the 2010 election cycle, as OpenSecrets Blog previously reported.

Much of this financial backing went toward supporting Republican candidates at the national level.

I can't vote for Pawlenty. He reminds me too much of my ex-brother in law. :)

The Establishment's choice will be Obama and Romney. If the economy is still in the tank, Obama will be a one term president. There is not one Democrat that is not a one-worlder. The Democrat Party has been taken over by the extreme Progressive Left. If you love liberty, then the T.E.A. Party candidates would be the best bet.

I don't know any of these people and or their Communities..

All this cut the Social and Drop the Taxes seems counter intuitive in adjusting our system.
Tax increases are not really increases they can also be offshore banking fixes and tax code modifications since no change will be seen as Saintly by either side.

Gary Johnson announces presidential run
(Credit: AP)
Former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson announced today that he's running for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination.
"I'm ready for a different America," Johnson said in a statement today. "I'm ready for the day when a person can build a good life on a decent income, and we can take our government at its word."
Johnson announced his candidacy Thursday morning on the steps of the New Hampshire State House and plans to spend three days in the early-nominating state meeting with supporters and visiting local businesses.
Other presumed Republican presidential candidates, including former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, have so far only formed "exploratory committees." That means they can raise funds for parts of their 2012 campaign, though the Federal Election Commission considers such a committee different from an official campaign committee.
Johnson served as governor of New Mexico from 1995 to 2003, where he made a name for himself as a staunch libertarian. His anti-interventionist foreign policy, his support for gay rights (he has said he supports gay unions, suggesting the government shouldn't be involved in marriage at all), and his support for marijuana legalization have drawn comparisons to Republican Rep. Ron Paul, another possible 2012 presidential contender.

Watch Johnson discuss the legalization of marijuana and same sex marriage in the video at left. On CBSNews.com's "Washington Unplugged" in February, Johnson said President Obama was too slow in bringing about the repeal of the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy.
"I become emotional over the fact that we have young men and women in the service that are gay and can't express that, who are putting their lives on the line," he said.
While his position on those issues sets him apart from most other candidates, Johnson holds up his record as governor of New Mexico as proof of his small-government, fiscal conservative credentials. He pointed out in his statement today within two terms as governor, he erased New Mexico's budget deficit and reduced the state workforce by over 10 percent.
I am unaware of this candidate other that I remember some positive things about cannabis and how New Mexico benefited.

yeah, you know, how the ultra-conservatives in the country are just spewing their brand of liberty.

1) if you don't have a passport you can't vote < FREEDOM!
2) if you want to have an abortion, you have to go to church first < FREEDOM!!
3) if you elect a public official, and they don't like it, he gets replaced, democracy is basically gone < FREEDOM!!

the list keeps on going.

there's plenty of things the TEA party stands for, individual liberty is most definetly not one of them.

I know exactly how the mantra of "Less is More" is being sold to us..

Poverty is good because it keeps the rich rich... It's good for the economy. I know.

And now that you are really poor be proud that you live in America where you can pull yourself up until we need to take it all away again to save the rich and abolish abortions.

Add Ron Paul to the list of hopefuls.

Just who can come out on top with as many as fifteen contenders is uncertain.

Paul makes move toward 2012 run

Ron Paul took his first formal steps Tuesday toward entering the 2012 race for the White House.

The Texas congressman announced his decision to form a presidential exploratory committee during an afternoon news conference at the Holiday Inn near the Des Moines airport.

The new status will allow Paul to participate in the season's first debate for prospective Republican candidates, scheduled for May 5. The lawmaker had previously accepted an invitation to the Fox News-sponsored event in South Carolina, but recently revised guidelines require each participant to file as an exploratory candidate or a formal candidate by Friday.
Paul, a 12-term U.S. representative and a doctor by trade, has vied for the presidency twice before. In 1988, he won the Libertarian Party nomination. Twenty years later, in 2008, he ran as a Republican, earning 10 percent of the vote in the Iowa caucuses and garnering a total of 24 delegates overall to finish the race in fifth place.

The lawmaker said Tuesday afternoon that he expects his message of limited government to connect with more voters this time around.

Gary Johnson announces he supports legalizing Marijuana.

Not exactly new to do but rather bold for the first debate.

I think we should have a closer look at Mr. Johnson.
