Obama 2012

He Showed me today that He is willing to stand up for all people's rights.

I know he was hard to read during his speech today but I have given it some time and considered today's news as well as news I am rather dedicated to monitor in these few days of very dynamic events of the world.
One can only try and connect all the dots as fast as possible. First there were the un-rests, the protests and on to my own Nation in Wisconsin; The Betrayal, and if that was the end of things that would have been a lot of change in a month, in my opinion, but, it wasn't.
From London to Libya How can we not see?
There has to be something left in American Politics besides facing the fact that our Capital system feeds the top predators very well and at some point you have some sort of extinction of which the answer is more poverty.
These are uncertain times. We will learn more what the Plutocracy ; the Financial Government, has in store but I'm okay with peace and trust. I will trust Obama.

Can I be the first to say that being a Republican or a Democrat is soooo last decade now, you guys need to revamp everything and stop being dinosaurs with your Republican vs. Democrat politics. It's a resultant of the Ogliarchs giving the poor unsuspecting public something to choose, the public just does not realise they are actually picking from the same pool!!

Ron Paul is my Congressman. I have the honor of voting for him every two years. Democratic opponents can garner no more than a handful of votes against him and even the GOP backs other Republicans to try and unseat him, that alone speaks volumes.
I even voted for him twice in 2008 as a Congressman and in the Presidential election, as a write-in candidate, even though I knew there was little chance of him winning.
Gary Johnson is also a good choice. I would vote for anybody whose actions clearly show that he/she stands for upholding and defending the Constitution. Words mean nothing if they are not backed up by action.
I remember Obama, during the campaign, claiming that if Mccain got elected, he would get us involved in a third Middle East conflict. So now we're in Libya. I remember him saying that if he (Obama) got elected, it would be a more transparent government, no more "business as usual" and my all time favorite "Change We Can Believe In". None of these have happened. He did give us something called "Healthcare Reform" but it has nothing to do with healthcare and more to do about mandatory insurance.
Don't confuse me with the neo-cons either. Bush did the same thing, stating in 2000 that we would not get involved in nation building and policing the world.
As long as "we the people" are fighting amongst ourselves as to which is the better political party, "we the people" are losing. This is a long practiced standard of warfare. Get your enemy to fight among themselves, then their defeat is assured.
We have to get beyond this rhetoric of Democrat vs Republican and right vs left, if you think the government should or should not do something; whether it's invading a sovereign nation on the presumption of national security; spending billions fighting a business that clearly has enough profit and customers to make it appealing enough to risk jail or even death; taking away the property of some, only to give it away to others; please, refer to the Constitution. We are a nation built upon it, yet so few actually know what it says.
Government does not work, however, it is a necessary evil that must be constrained. Can anyone give me a government program (not authorized by the Constitution) that actually works? Since the Dept of Education was established, our standards have fallen along with test scores. I have seen college students that cannot write in english at a 6th grade level, others that cannot find Canada on a map. Is it any wonder that so many in our country assume that healthcare, housing and a job is a right?
The Sec of State and the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff both agreed that the biggest threat to the US is not Bin Laden, or Al Queda, or terrorism, or global warming, or even the boogie man... it is our nation's ever increasing debt. Ron Paul and his son, KY Senator Rand Paul are the only ones to propose serious cuts to head off our impending financial crisis. (of which, Ron Paul has been warning us about for years)
It's already happening elsewhere in the world; Greece, Portugal and the UK are in the headlines now but others will follow, including us.

I'm more interested from a global perspective, as much as I hate to admit it "we" meaning most of the rest of the western world are attached at the hip to America....hence I am not American but a South African living in the UK. I am aware of Ron Paul and what he is now infamous for but I am not really privy to a lot of the news about him as you guys would be, in the UK there is zero coverage and to try and find news articles in a timely fashion is very difficult via the net.

Perhaps someone will create a thread that becomes a sticky on him or politics in general...

No truer words have been spoken on this thread........although that financial crisis you speak of looming is frankly here already...perhaps it's just the winds of change that have uncovered the tip that some see.

In the UK I see a national government that has lumped already debt burdened local councils with even more social responsibility in turn increasing their deficit and in turn increasing their further debt. Almost a 100 000 university graduates annually with a mere 5% finding employment meaning more burden on local council and benefits hand outs............on the upswing seed companies in the UK are doing record trade :-)

I think it will be Romney that wins the republican primary, maybe Huckabee.

I think a damn Dalmatian dog (dumbest breed there is) could beat Obama. I’ve seen a lot of mismanaged shit in my time but the Obama administration takes the cake. I bet he’d need 6 advisors to find his way out of a paper bag. Hell it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s taken out in a democrat primary. American’s don’t like incompetence in their leaders. Plus most Americans don’t want a socialist telling them what they have a social responsibility to buy or not buy. Fuckin ass clown is going down on more than the union dick this time around.

I don't believe Romney will garner much support this time around because he suffers from the same delusion as Obama when it comes to healthcare reform, but he does have the best hair so... who knows?
Huckabee? while not my first choice (or second), he would be better than most others i.e.; Giuliani, Romney, McCain, Palin, Gingrich et al... his background as a preacher concerns me, though

Again, history disagrees youngster. Read up a little, there are more than a few examples of presidents telling people to spend $. In fact Obamas predecessor said the very same thing a few years back. I would venture to say that you had no problem then.

and as a jew, the fact that he has repeatedly stated his desire to 'take this country back for christ' concerns me in several ways. firstly, the first amendment prohibits doing so, which concerns me he does not understand the first amendment, leading to doubts that he understands any other amendment.

secondly, us jews, we don't exactly believe us in no christ! dagfurnabbit.

Obama is the President and Bush is gone so quit living in the past.

How many Presidents used the office to force people to buy a product? Obama has acted more like he was ruling over a fascist nation than governing a republic.

McCain treated Obama with kid gloves instead of doing what needed to be done to beat Obama. So yea I&#8217;d say dog intelligence for no doing what needed to be done to protect the country from a socialist ass clown.

Is America a better nation since Obama became President? Are Americans safer? Do Americans have more personal freedom and liberty? The answer to all 3 questions is NO.
