hmm...ive always counted it from the day it flowers...so what about being on 12/12 from seed..does that mean its always flowering?if so...woo hoo...my 1 day old haze is flowering
I guess so haha... Supposedely it was up for debate a while back and that was the overal conclusion lol... I have no Idea to be honest with you, it make more sense to count when they show but I guess thats how it is.

Thanks everyone!!

Well I just found out that your supposed to count your flowering weeks when you switch to 12/12 and not when they start to show sex... I know shes 56 days today actually so 8 weeks exactly since she showed sex, I don't remember if she took 1 or 2 weeks to show but if you count when I switched the lights shes at least 9 weeks in.
actually...to my knowledge,if u count flower days, they start when flowers start
so u had it right to begin with

Thats what I think a lot of people go by... Supposedly we where wrong, I was told in another thread that Fdd posted some info on it a while back. Hold on I'll show you the thread I was posting in, it was SkunkDunks thread, who's posted in here a few times. he was asking about it and you will see thats what I said...https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/378108-sds-first-grow-600w-hps-22.html

yea it is always best to count from day one 12/12... so if shes 9 weeks in now then shes like a 10-12 week teva huh?? hmmm so what you thinkin on chop time somewhere in the middle? what type of high are you trying to get from her?

I would like to let her go to at least half amber trics if possible... You think that could happen within the next 2 weeks if shes 9-10 in now? I'll have to look back to see when she showed! Wether its 2 or 4 more weeks I'd like to wait though :)

i would think 2 weeks shoukd be good but heck them tevas could be very shy and take way longer... now im currious as to how old she really is...
im in the same boat with my scrog grow i have to go back into the archives on my other thread to see how old they really are??

Ok, this was KK 4 days into flowering and 2 days into flowering. So she went into flowering on 10/5, that would make her 8 weeks and 1 day... Humm I thought she would be older but I guess I was counting from the begining and I didn't even know it haha... Anyway at least we got to see more pics of the KK right when she went in :) These where right before I transplanted her into the 5 gallon too! I'm thinking she will be ready in 9-10 and amber in 10-12 but we will see.

it dont really matter anyway....not to me anyway
i harvest when i feel they r ready....not on a specific date
i would like to see what data he showed to debate that fact though because it just dont sound logical....if counted from day 1 of 12/12,ur flower period ends up being 1-2 weeks longer than anticipated

Those are some of the exact points I was going to make but I didn't want to start any arguments and I'm still learning so I'm not positive about a lot of things... I'll just count from when I switch them to make it easier and whenever there ready I will cut them basically.

Anyway, I'm carrying these two pics over because I can :)

Nice comparison treez, and when looking to harvest don't you just usually check the color of the trichs and then just harvest when there at the desired color for the high your looking to reach?

And will end up harvesting early if that is all you go by...I agree with you harvest when ready, fuck specific days..

Can't the amount of watts of lighting you have also affect the flowering time? Its just a thought but if that were the case how could someone say that every grow or this strain has to be harvested withing xx amount of days? Hell and when you look most strains usually have a variable flowering time, I've seen some that say they flower 7-9 weeks some 8-10 weeks so I guess thats where I'm getting hung up with someone saying you need to harvest within a specific amount of days..

I'm not sure about the lighting but every plant is different, the number of flowering weeks they give you is usually just a ballpark.

i dont think wattage affects flowerin time... cuz i harvested my last cfl grow in 50somethin days, like any hid. maybe mass of tree? idk

yea the number seedbanks gives u is a estimate for when trichs start to ripen...thats all that matters is when ur trichs are at the point where u like them...every person is dif as every tree...so wen a tree is done or not depends on how u like ur high not how many days or hairs e.t.c my last grow same strain as the one now took almost 10-15extra days

Flowering time is based on genetics..sativa's can take up to 12 weeks and indicas take about 8..crossing the types together to make hybrids will also effect flowering times.

yes...lighting and overall enviroment play factors in flowering time
the time frames seedbanks give u is for marketing or how their enviroment did....which will not be the same for u
and then there r still genetics that will play a role, which r not all the same
the best thing is to learn to read ur plants and go by that

Yea enviorment plays a big roll..I had 4 lemon skunk all vegged the same amount of time but I had light leaks on the left side my my grow and it took another 2-3 weeks to finish #3..
