you said something about venting into the ceiling, what about one of those bathroom vent fans that go in the ceiling, put it on the timer with your lights so it comes on when the lights do and suck the heat up?

That would probably work pretty well I would imagine.. I was hoping to get similar results with the cpu fans though, seeing I already have them and I'm low on cash right now. I figure as long as I can get some of the hot air building up in there out, it should help a little anyway..
 
yeah, i hear ya on cash deal, it sucks, LoL. going to home depot right with my sis to get some stuff she wants. i'll take a look and see what they have, maybe a pic or 2, some specs and some prices, let you know in a bit.
 
oh cool, well this what i saw there. i think these 2 were 35 and 70 cfm, not much more than a computer fan. the price only goes up from there, LoL.

those would work great...i used a couple of those for some venting in my old grow house....if they are sealed decently..they pump a ton of air..the only problem i had was dust...i was taking them apart to clean them 2-3 times a month...and they are a bitch to get apart...but i guess it all depends on your grow area and its surroundings
 
Fuck!! I was just typing a couple paragraphs and hit backspace to hard or something.. That shit pisses me off.. Anyway, thanks for taking those pics CD, that seem like a good idea and I need a new bathroom fan anyway lol..

I seemed to get the temps to drop around 5 degrees imediatley when I pointed the fans right at the bulbs and the top of the canopies so thank you ruiner and all the rest of you for the help and suggestions.. So far its holding around 85 with all the lights on with the closet door open which I was able to sit there and watch it drop within seconds once the fans where angled to point at the bulbs.. here's a couple new pics, I took one from kind of outside the cab so you can get a good idea of how the ligts are setup now.. They seem to chance quite often :)

i hate that and i can never remember exactly what i wrote, LoL. glad you got the temp down some. great pics bro!! that starburst one is killer, and i like this one too, but i had to take that cord hanging down out, LoL.

that KK is gonna be a good lil bitch for ya i think...all looking good bro...glad the temps came down...after i changed my fans around like that it dropped about 10 degrees in a matter of minutes...think we got the cfl heat thing figured out...fuck worrying about a bunch of venting going outside the box...just blast the lights and the temps drop dramaticly

I hope she turns out nice and plump!! Thanks again for the help I think this is a great way to bring the temps down, shit I could literally take a video and show peeps how much it helps just from the angle of your fan, I'm just to lazy lol.. Btw it is sitting at 82 and its 81 ambient temp whoot!!! I'm happy now:)
 
Looks good ST. I have a CFL veg cab with heat issues also. the fan pointing at the bulbs may work for me. Nice to pick up bits of info. here and there.

Yeah man I just got my freebie from attitude so i had to check u out will be paper toweling them later a journal for that grow soon
i ordered greenhouse chees dna lemon skunk and got a bunch of freebies that i hear are really good including kandy kush
i most likely will be going sog do u thik the structure is good for height limitations?
