resinous pre-flowers

Ive got a jack herer plant in veg from seed and I found a female preflower today that has lots of stalked trichomes covering it. Moreso than any of my other killer strains preflowers. Does this indicate how resinous the plant will be?

That particular plant also has "hairs" (they glisten in the light) all over the stems. Ive been trying to get pics but cant figure out the macro.

Heres some shots of the cystolith trichs covering a stem and a resinous preflower that doesnt show up to well.

how about a pic of a male, the same age as the preflower? i can see the pistols comming out of the clump in ur pic i think,...

So far out of the 10 sensi jacks Ive planted I only have 4 survivors, 3 of them being female. The other hasnt grown any preflowers yet which is a good sign because Ive heard that males show sex before females.

But none of the strains that Ive grown have had this charicteristic in veg. My theory is that this one jack herer is the real deal based on the resinous female preflower and the hairs on the stem, however Im trying not to get my hopes up as I wont know how this plant performs until 5 or 6 weeks, possibly 2 months when I can put a veged clone into 12/12.

Anyone else had a veg plant that has resinous preflowers or hairy stems?

i have a 3 foot northern lights that has no smell or preflowers yet, im one week into flowering, making my plant 5 weeks old. it was 30 inches at 4 weeks.........good luck.

The thing is, is that I did little research about jack herer before I bought the seeds. It was mostly inspired by the cannabible by jason king to get that strain. But when I was looking at grows of sensi JH i was suprised to find that alot of the phenotypes grown just down right sucked. Well they didnt look as spectacular as seemingly a strain that had won the CC 6 or 7 times in a row. And jason king states in the JH entry that if yours doesnt look like the sample he provided, that it wasnt the real thing. So basically Im hoping I have at least one killer pheno.

Im into week 5 of flowering and the plant looks nothing like I thought it would. I guess it doesnt matter. But thats really misleading to have a vegging plant that looks like that only to find it wasnt carpeted in trichomes by the 3rd week. Still looks very nice though. But Im this far into flower and the thing has no buds per se just tufts of flowers and pistils. Nicely resinated too.
