Retarded Cotyledons?

He folks,

What's up with these cotyledons? I thought they were supposed to lay open flat. These are rigid and upright. The first leaves seems to be growing in nicely though.

Thoughts?

They're fine, they'll flatten out soon enough. IME young plants do that during growth spurts, so I bet you'll see a lot of growth in the next few days.

back you lights up they are way too close...seedlings are sensitive to lights at this stage.

Done. Dropped the plants by about 6".

Add more of your potting mix, up to about 1/2" below the cotyledons. Tamp it in firmly, your plants will love you for it.

see u use strong wattage cfls, one would be enought for 2 seedlings for some time for sure, and yeah back u lights till leaves are shown bless
