seems like we tried that and ended up paying more than all other nations who have more government involvement, lower costs, and universal coverage.

do you have any examples of wealthy nations who have lower costs, universal coverage, and LESS government involvement that the rest of us do not know about?

do secret nations exist that i am not aware of? or is this all just more fantasy in your mind?

I know in Canada the wait time for a MRI was something like 3 months, so those who could afford it would come to the US to get one done. If the coverge is greater, the quality of care will go down.

reality is, you don't own any real estate. most likely your parents or somebody else does. have a conversation with them about this subject. or rather than purchasing a home, purchase an investment property; do some empirical investigation and report back.
