Reveg vs starting from seed

Im not knocking on anyone or anything.. but if you plan to re veg why not just take clones before flower.( if you have room). save time of waiting for plant to rebound and risk of anything bad going on. Just me tho. I am here to learn.
well thats what i said earlier, cloning is better for someone who can keep 2 rooms but if you only have one room that you use for either flower or veg then re vegging is a solid option for you.

say you order some beans and you have 1 room, you grow out 3 of them and by the end you realize you have one plant in particular that has a great phenotype and you want to save it, after harvest you can just leave that little bit left to re veg it and then switch your room back to veg cycle.

or even if you do have 2 rooms and you get to the last couple weeks of flower and one of your plants simply amazes you with how much weight/trichomes or whatever it is that just makes you say "i want to keep that plant around" re vegging is a option. its also good for picking that one pheno you want to keep as a mother. sometimes a plant can do really well during veg and you pick out your mother (if keeping one) then down the line you relize after flowering some of the other plants that you would rather have one of them as a mother......

see where im getting with this?

what if you were able to order some seeds online before but now your out of the premium genetics and about to harvest that last plant, re veg it and grow it out one more time, this is good if you dont have the means ($$) to make another seed purchase.

i dont think anyone is saying it is better or worse than other methods it all boils down to each persons specific situation.

i personally enjoy raising my plants from seed as part of the hobby. but i would for sure re veg to keep good genetics around or as a effort to get one more grow out of the last of my genetics if i didnt have room to keep a mother plant. not everyone has the luxury of being able to have a mother room, a cloning room a veg room and a flowering room, or even a veg and flower room.

so i guess it boils down to different strokes for different folks :)

Ah yes i forget about the law side of things. As i am in a state where i can just buzz down and buy some clones.
yeah but not everyone is as unfortunate and retarded as it is it is still extremely illegal in some states, like FL for example anything over like 10 grams is a felony or some stupid shit like that.

its a little vague on growing it so im not sure how they do that maybe weigh the whole plant (talk about fucked)

you would think they would let up on weed that way they dont have to worry about people smuggling it, they could focus on the more hardcore drugs.

who knows

You've got my brain spinning now. I might leave a few un developed branches on all plants from now untill late june re veg them all and throw them outside into a little pvc hoop frame since i wont have room inside for them all

This was my first indoor run. I had originally built 2 rooms but, could only afford to set up one at the time. I really liked the outcome overall of my PK grow. Though, with lot's of mistakes along the way. I am a legal patient and the PK is very good for my medical needs. That's mainly why I did the reveg. Not sure if I will do it again except to keep one mother. I now just finished my second room. A little better than the first room. Now I am able to take clones so I can veg and flower at the same time. But, I am impressed with the way this reveg is going.

one item i have seen, is that in SE Asia, reveg is pretty much a standard practice for the outdoor grows

just dont forget he pruned the roots and repotted, if you just leave as is they will surely become rootbound.

yeah i have 2 rooms as well, only reason i re vegged the one in the pics is the smell of the bagseed was much like sniffing a diesel tank. I messed up the mother and new it had much more potential so i wanted to give it another go. and i have got to say im glad i did, in 2 weeks ill yeild a little over a Oz dry off the plant and it seems like its some killer stuff for being a bagseed.

Cool good luck to you. I find it exciting to turn a plant around that is near dead and within a month have it grow back better than the original run!

get them babies into even bigger pots and they'll really take off again. happy 4-20. :peace:
Bought some 10 gl pots today. Figure I can fit 4 in one room. Any input on when to transplant? They are in 7gl now, planning on vegging a couple more weeks then switch. Heard a week before switch. And will it really increase the yield that much that I will in turn be neglecting a couple not really getting much light? Any help is appreciated.

if they are on week 5 now and you plan on vegging for 2 more weeks thats about 16 weeks total and they say 1 gal per month so a 5 gal bucket would be plenty, i think a 10 gal is overkill no? are they rootbound? if not then transplanting them is only going to make them concentrate on the root system more and on vert growth less.

once they hit full flowering they stop growing roots anyways (from what i hear)

personally i would wait untill they need to be transplanted but of your going to give them 3 morte gallons of soil to grow into the sooner the better before flowering because you want them to have a good foothold when week 2 of flower hits.

my theory at least :)

Pretty sure they aren't rootbound. Kind of figured more soil bigger plants. I have 6 in reveg all in 7gl pots. Didn't really want to go any bigger due to my room size. Plus 2 starter plants going into 5gl buckets next week. so you think it's overkill? I know outdoors more soil more yield.
