Revegging question

Just need a quick clarification... At appropriate harvest time, can you simply remove the buds and stick it back in 24 hour light to reveg, effectively starting the new "spring" season?

In other words, is that a fairly standard practice? Will it grow nice new flowers for the next "season" (ie - when it's time to go back to 12/12 flowering stage) or is it going to cause issues?

I ask because it would SEEM that, as in nature, plants grow in spring and summer, flower in autumn, then do it all over again when winter is over. Seems to make sense, but better to ask than be wrong. :D

yes u can reveg u have to leave some small buds on the plant and some healthy lookin fan leaves to, i heard it takes awhile but the plant is twice as strong twicea as big, and i know this is true cuz i know a guy who takes clones from budding plants roots them and then revegges them, and he pulls 2 pounds off 2 plants so im a beliver also he has a book out and has been growing for over 30 years

yes you can re-veg, but it is very time consuming. you'd be better off using cuts, or even seeds. and as far as re-vegging making a plant bigger/stronger, taint so!

hey, same here! and i don't need to read about it, i've done it. it can sometimes take more than a month for the new growth to get beyond the deformed growth stage. also, if you haven't trimmed your plant in anticipation of re-vegging, it'll take even longer. if it's all you have, do it. if not, pop some beans or root some cuts....

Ok, some slightly conflicting info. I'd appreciate clarification on the following:

Do you have to leave buds on? If so, how many, and where? (And why for that matter?)

Will the revegged plant be bigger/stronger? That was kinda the point of why I wanted to reveg - to make it bushier next season.

Also, the last time I tried cuttings, I got not so much as a baby rootlet. Clearly I did something wrong, but I'm kinda scared to chop my girl up until I know how to get the cuttings to root.

yes u have to leave bud on about 4 or 5 small buds all in different spots, and u leave them cuz thats where it will start to grow leafs again, and yes IMO plants that are revegged are biiger, stronger and better yeilding i have a freind who takes clones late in flower cuz he say if the plant roots, and revegges it will b a very strong plant i posted his website on your thread already u should take a look and mabye order some books lots of great info from a man who has been growing for over 25 years:weed:
