depends on how much tds are in your water, i use only RO water i have a 200 gallon a day setup. it has 2 membranes that make a steady stream. With RO water you need to put back trace minerals yet it gives you 0 ppm and the ability to control TDS and minerals.

You need to sweeten the soil a bit to help your girls too

thanks man purewaterclub rocks im checkin out their 150gpd units and 6.25 gallons of pure water are made for 6.8 gallons wasted, good ratio for r/o plus its guaranteed 0 ppm you guys know what type of store i needa go to for a water test for ppm and ph or were i can buy the kits

i just purchased a ro system from lowes for $149.99. quick easy installation. works very well and lowes carries the replacement filters and membranes. 0-3 ppm 7.0 ph is what it puts out.

Something I thought I should add about pure water.

Most pure water goes through a deionizing filter as well as a reverse osmosis filter. The state of the art machines also pass it through a UV light to further sterilize and ensure the lack of minerals in the water...However once pure water is exposed to open air the CO2 in the air will start dissolving into the pure water rapidly and creat carbonic acid which could flucuate your ph.

?'s b4 purchace 1) are you growing in dirt or hydro? 2) what is your waters ppm right from tapp..

i would say if you are growing in dirt you dont need a ro system, waste of money.. but in hydro tapp ppm of say 300 of higher can really afect your plants

totally disagree, I grow in soil and I r/o then put it in a tub to aerate, then I p.h it before feeding. It makes the taste that much better. But, I also use supersoil, which is an organic soil and I don't add any nutes to my water

not saying its a bad idea, but in most cases an RO system is "NOT" needed in dirt.. my tapp water is 600 ppm without and 7.2ph i water my dirt plants with that crap water with no ill effects.. my hydro however will not stand for it and they have a 200gal a day ro system.. i recycle the waste water for watering my lawn..

hey victorygardens does your r/o unit waste as little water as it says it does, they say the 150 units are even more efficient 1.1:1 waste to useable water

I never sat there and watched how much goes down the drain. My water bill isn't going crazy,so I don't worry about it.
I think using r/o and aerating it with oxygen is just that little touch that puts me ahead of the guy that just uses tap water. No chlorine or flouride in my water.
among other little TLC I give my girls.
