I am growing in DWC 5gal buckets using Dynagro and Floranova. I like looking at the Dynagro roots because the water is usually clear and the roots are nice and white. Well, the other day I was admiring my roots again and when I raised the plant I see a big cloud coming off the roots. WTF, I never noticed that before. Some plants have the cloud and some don't, they have nice clear water. I also see some salts laying on the bottom of the buckets. I thought maybe I screwed up the mix but the PH and PPM's were fine. I only run 5-600 PPM anyway. The plants don't seem to be in distress but I can't figure out why some buckets are nice and clear and some have this cloudy stuff coming off the roots.
I was thinking it could be normal and just the roots absorbing nutes out of the mixture. But how come I never noticed it before and how come some buckets are nice and clear? I checked the Floranova buckets and those look like thick tea anyway but it looks like there is a brown cloud coming off those roots too. Maye it is the roots just absorbing nutes. Has anybody else seen this and should I worry about it? Thanks.
