Hello there i have been lurking about this fourm for agess now learning all ways of growing and this will be my first grow. I am currnetly making plans on where and what type of grow room to build, areogarden or soil.
I am looking to grow 5 or so plants or as many germanate lol. I have 5 seeds, 2 AK-47 from Serious seed bank and 3 Northern Lights from sensi seeds.
As i am living away from my parents in a house we have over seas because i am at university which is good but my dad does pay the electicty and gas bill so electric costs will have to be kept to a minimum. So either CFL's or a low powered 150w HPS. (not worried too much about yeild but it would be good to get an average ammount)
Here is the grow space i have to work with.
Possible air intakes (not sure if first intake is working.)
The options that i have on how to grow are.
A DIY Areogarden Or soil.
Idea #1
Soil + Perlite in a (??) Gallon pots (the biggest and fits
100w's worth of CFL's (Y light fittings, Some kind of Reflector)
Idea #2
Soil + Perlite in a (??) Gallon pots (the biggest and fits
150w HPS + Ballast
Idea #3
DIY Areogarden with 5 pots
Idea 1,2 and 3 will include the following.
Carbon Filter with extractor fan (100mm)
Not sure what type on nutes (Fox farm if i can get hold of them in the UK)
Ducking to the window for air (will be made sealth)
Rotating fan inside grow cabnit
Tempature + PH tester.
Bug Sticky Strips
Rockwool.
Wallpaperd in Mylar.
( Will be LST'ing)
Here are Blueprints of how i would set up the grow room. Please feel free to give ideas on changes to the grow room.
