I am still not quite sure what you are asking. Is it info on lighting you need.

This does not make sense to me ??????
Here's what I started with.

From
Photochemistry and Photobiology Volume 46 Issue 2
UV-B RADIATION EFFECTS ON PHOTOSYNTHESIS, GROWTH and CANNABINOID PRODUCTION OF TWO Cannabis Sativa CHEMOTYPES

Abstract

The effects of UV-B radiation on photosynthesis, growth and cannabinoid production of two greenhouse-grown C. sativa chemotypes (drug and fiber) were assessed. Terminal meristems of vegetative and reproductive tissues were irradiated for 40 days at a daily dose of 0, 6.7 or 13.4 kJ m-2 biologically effective UV-B radiation. Infrared gas analysis was used to measure the physiological response of mature leaves, whereas gas-liquid chromatography was used to determine the concentration of cannabinoids in leaf and floral tissue.

There were no significant physiological or morphological differences among UV-B treatments in either drug- or fiber-type plants. The concentration of Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC), but not of other cannabinoids, in both leaf and floral tissues increased with UV-B dose in drug-type plants. None of the cannabinoids in fiber-type plants were affected by UV-B radiation.

The increased levels of Δ9-THC in leaves after irradiation may account for the physiological and morphological tolerance to UV-B radiation in the drug-type plants. However, fiber plants showed no comparable change in the level of cannabidiol (a cannabinoid with UV-B absorptive characteristics similar to Δ9 THC). Thus the contribution of cannabinoids as selective UV-B filters in C. sativa is equivocal.

It will be on my profile page and open via invitation as i dont want to keep going on with somebody elses thread as i dont like to jack threads.

Is this a question you were asking as you already know as you have posted the info ??????.
Just thought you might have more info on this or even some thoughts. Do you have this book in a folder in a document? I seem to have pissed you off, so don't worry about it. If you ask for questions, expect some beyond "Can I use a black light to grow?".

Can blacklights be used for growing?

They can not.
Blacklights do not produce the correct spectrum of light to grow plants.

The only lights that currently produce the required color spectrum of light to grow plants are the following;

Suitable for Growing:

Flourescent (Tube shaped)

Compact Fluorescent
(a flourescent tube with ballast included that screws into regular light fixture)

Metal Halide (MH) Best for Vegetative growth, but it doesn't contain all of the spectrum needed later during flowering for truly outstanding buds. the light shines a blueish/white color

High Pressure Sodium (HPS) Best for Flowering. Ok for Vegetative. shines a yellow/orange color. All can be purchased at your local home/lumber store.

Not suitable for growing:

Blacklight type flourescent lights.

ANY incandescent lamp
(if it screws into a regular lamp, it won't produce worthwhile buds). Exception, compact flouro mentioned above)

Halogen

Mercury Vapor.

I was being sarcastic, cause I've seen it asked too many times. I wasn't trying to trick you. Is that from a secret forum? That didn't have the Ceramic Metal Halide and the CMH is impressive, to say the least. Not suitable should have a Green Cfl too. Been asked that one many times too.

I've been growing for a good amount of time and I just want to say that my garden has benefited immensely from the writings of Riddleme.

I was stuck in a rut, and running myself in the ground using Humboldt's nute line, 14 products and very pricey. After reading all of the Riddleme nuggets and diddy's I decided to change my approach and go with simplicity and I couldn't be happier.

The reason I have followed is because he does his homework. He has thousands of hours invested into research and guess who gets to benefit? Me. The other thing about Riddleme that I like is he did his research based on plants and general gardening, not MJ specific. A plant is a plant and this one is no exception. Sure there are differences but the principles are what matter most.

My monthly garden bill has gone from about 5-600 per month to about 150. The kicker is, this 150 includes the outdoor garden too. I can't even imagine what it would take, cost wise, with the humboldt line. Jacks Classic is really the shit.

The best thing about this is I've been able to pass on this savings to my patients, which is what it's all about for me.

In these pics we will compare apples to apples, my goddess plant. I have a set of 10 that will harvest at months end. They are burnt and yellowing and limping to the finish line. Don't get me wrong there were many other factors involved, but my garden has improved night and day since I found Riddleme. We joke there is a line, from the Riddleme Mangos back, the garden is near perfect, from there forward, a little sketchy to say the least.

The second set just hit flowering a week or so ago.

Pictures don't lie and Riddleme has always spoken the truth.

I come from a boxing background and we always say, there's plenty of ways to train a fighter, what matters is the end result, in the ring under the lights when it matters most.

You don't have to agree with Riddleme or his methods but you can't deny the research and results, period.

Thank you Riddleme, I appreciate you very much for your time spent that I have benefited from so much.

Right on Brother

I was looking at the poll and noticed quite a bit of people in favor of dude having a elite membership. if anything, y'all could put in less than a dollar each and dude could have elite membership for at least a year..

....elite membership for a year is only 60 bucks. there is over 70 votes in favor of. just a thought.
I would pay the $60 bucks myself for it if I could but they are not accepting funds at this time....

Namaste' :peace:
