Right light for right space.....

I am about to start my first grow in the closet in the spare room, which measures, 1.5ft x 4ft x 2m tall. I have purchased; 1x 400w HID lamp
1x 4" extractor, filter
plus obvious necessary
bits and pieces.


I plan to move the plants at some stage into a small spare room (when I have cleared it out) but for now was wondering if the 400w lamp is ok to use in the closet as it is a very small space. Also, If they are only going to be there for about two weeks, is it necessary to rig up extraction and a fresh air supply??

These may seem like stupid queries but I am a complete beginner!!
