Right Size Tent?

So when I'm ready to get everything going I will more than likely get a tent, 1000w HPS, 5-7 gallon pots, and I'd like to build a SCROG for some of the plants. This setup is for veg and flower with 4-6 plants at a time. Does this sound ok in a 8' x 4' x 6.5' tent? I know there are other variables and I'd have to time the veg right, but are 7 gallon pots too big?

You know.. I do need to pick up a good book, adding that to my list. I'm at work so will check out your blog tonight. Are you suggesting I should go with 3-5 galling pots with the same amount of plants?

yes...maybe more the pots are smaller, no point wasting space..lol

True. I gotta read more on larger pots but done right it just seems the yield would be a lot higher even with less plants.

1000w is not enough light for 8 x4, but is plenty for 4 plants. I would still get the 8x4 tent and just run your 1000w with four plants on one side of it. Once you start getting the hang of growing youll want to get a second light and youlll have the tent already for it.

Ended up getting The Cannabis Grow Bible. Damn I'm surprised 1000w is not enough for the whole tent, but thats a good idea to still get the tent, go with 1000w and pick another one up eventually.

One seven gallon pot and one dope strain, train that bitch into a scrog style, it will fill up the whole grow room if you let it. Isn't seven gallon pot for small fruit trees, lol.
