Right then, micro and stealth growers.. Who has put a 400w HPS in the smallest space?

Lets see what some of the micro and stealth growers among us can do with a 400w HPS in a small spaces..
Pictures please.
This should be interesting to see what can and can't be done and how people have dealt with heat issues that occur trying to pack a big light onto small spaces.
Tell us what works, and what doesn't. We can all learn from each others mistakes, miscalculations and genius ideas.

Yeah man, I'm real keen to see what some of the clever kids have got going on. I'm thinking about doing a 400w in a small cabinet.
Have a 150w in there at the moment and its perfect. Thinking that with a separate cool tube and some good venting I can upgrade to a 400w.
I'm just hell keen to see what people can do with this light, get some bragging rights from the stealth or cabinet growers.

Still pretty impressive man, yeah either air cooled hoods or complete separate cooltubes will help out.
Two 400w in a 4x4 closet is doing well.

thanks :) just for the info, 10-12" from plants is 83f, ambient temp fluctuates from 78-80f with the light on. The ballasts are outside the closet as well, which helps a lot. With ballasts in the closet it was getting up to 90.

I have a 400 in a dr60. It's actually a 600, but I dim it to 400. Running at 600 watts it gets into the mid 90s or so. The 400 gets to about 83.

I have never considered growing in a tent, that's awesome. What kind of venting system you have on that setup? A photo would be magic.

I am rocking a 250W in my grow tent right now but just ordered a 400W.

Right now temps are not an issue so I am upgrading to get some more light penetration plan on getting another tent. I have a 3'x3'x6' the first post in my signature can give you all the details.

I'm actually growing some serious seeds chronic right now. I know you could fit a megagarder hydro system in there though. If you did a lollipop sog you could get some real decent yield.... I'm starting on it right now.

I have a 400W in a 2' x 3' cabinet. I use a 6" cooltube isolated from room ventilation, temps average in the mid-80s except in the heat of summer then I use a small cooler I built to bring the temp down. This pic is a 400W MH, I have a 400W HPS in there currently. The weird looking thing on top is a DIY batwing reflector.

Shit guys, thats some amazing setups, Scrog this. That cabinet is sweet. 10 points for the diy reflector. I am all for the do it yourself setups. I made a batwing reflector by cutting down the side of a Nestle milkshake powder tin and folding it back on itself, the inside surface is real reflective. Bonzai lighthouse. 400w in a sealed closet is doing well. I assume you run a cooltube too?

Im running a White Widow ScrOG setup with 1 x 400W MH in a roof cavity, with VERY low clearance (aprox 1.5M max), no cooltube, just a basic reflector and dont have heat issues at all! I do live in a cooler climate though... and my girls are only freshly rooted. Im running an intake fan (box louvre fan) taking air directly from outside, then venting outside with centrifugal fan to the other side of the roof and it never gets over 30 C deg (around 90 deg F). I have also double insulated the room with really high rated energy/soundproofing insulation.

Bad quality mobile photo (that is with the HPS globe in).

Pretty low in there, so im hoping this goes well, this is my trial by fire - just finished building the room. I guess worst case scenario, i add a cooltube.
