I remember laughing AT it as a little kid, heh, kind of thinking that it was supposed to represent some sort of surreal polyester dreamscape VERY far removed from any sort of reality that I knew.
Some of my sisters gravitated towards it (and the Partridge Family LOL), but my brothers and I couldn't run from the TV fast enough.

I grew up with no siblings in an adult atmosphere and wanted to be a part of it.

Just the opposite, for me....7 siblings, each with multiple friends hanging around constantly. Chaos. As the 'baby' witnessing the madness, though, I certainly absorbed much of the teen/adult worlds. (Probably way too much, heh, like that time my twin sisters and their friends got blasted drunk at an end-of-the-year party and decided to stuff mayonnaise into condoms and sling them at each other.
