I'll never forget the first time I seen van halen. Im only 31 so it wasn't 3ven awesome van halen. As a young guitar kid I seen things happen on a guitar that I could never even imagine. Glad my dad took me to see him. Seen him a few times but he blew my mind the first time

Here's a few cool shots I took of Eddie back the day.

Several times I got front row seating at concerts for $10-$12 cause I had a
method of getting them. On the day of the shows sold out or not, I would go up to the box office
and ask for the best cancelation ticket they have and I usually got 1st or 2nd row.

For the most part there where other photographers in the first few rows taking pics that most likely may be the same or close
to the shots I took.

an acoustic one

Another take of Eruption and Cathedral (into hyperdrive)- the Cathedral part is just as fascinating as when he started doing the tapping- he conceived of making the guitar sound like an echoing cello and actually pulled it off... today, people would just buy an expensive boutique pedal that did it all for them... not even needing an imagination or skill to get the effect... night and day from the true guitar heroes of the past... RIP Eddie! You were a game changer!
