ya theres a pet store thats about a 5 min walk from my place so feeding is not a problem, use to have feeder tank but to much work to take care of both. But i have fed them just thawed frozen fish fillets and they eat it, not as exciting as watching get a live fish. its crazy a gold fish can live with just a head pretty much.
