RIU Musicians UNITE!!!

HALLO

I think it would be cool to do a collab project with all the musicians on RIU.

We could trad files back and forth through RIU and write different pieces of the song each...

It could be EPIC.....

I write breakcore whatever. i don't cheat with effects like glitch and the like.

If you wanna write a badass track or two..... LETS DO THIS!! ALL OF YOU!!!!

Too bad. Piano is awesome. I play a little myself. You may be able to find some free recording ware but without good sound card/mics I guess it wouldn't sound too great.

You could buy/try a DAW with squencer/tracker etc. and learn to sequence some piano!!!

I play guitar ... was in a band way back in the 80's . I still play but just for fun nowadays - been on an acoustic kick for about 4 years now ....

well I guess I can bend in almost any direction to get as many people on board as possible.

My main kick is breakcore/trance/intelligent breaks etc. etc.

But man I dig on just about anything that I can see, like jazz, intelligent blues, bluegrass, classical etc. etc.

My least favorite would have to be opera and country although I don't fully knock it. In the rare mindset I have enjoyed country music and I know there is more to opera than just fat ladies but I still have a hard time focusing on it.

But I'm game for almost anything. I just think given our means of communication something electronic would be the easiest route. Although if anyone has the right setup we could surley use analog....

I can play just about any basic instrument, electric guitar (rhythm, not too good at lead), bass, and drums, plus vocals (pretty much only for heavy metal though )
I have a few programs on my computer that I can make electronic music with using MIDI. MAGIX and Sonar, plus Audacity. (it's a free download) I can do any instrument
using MIDI. It just takes time, basic knowledge of Music Theory goes a long way.

I'm starting now. If everyone who may or may not participate agrees on 174bpm standard 4/4 for simplicity... thats what Imma roll with............ Come on my producers... Come out the wood works..... make a RIU proxy and chime in.

My RIU proxy will be called "The Programmer" Now I go to programmaammaaa////////////

I just don't know if a song is worth it.

same here. acoustic guitar for the last year or so but electric for about 6 and bass for around 3. im sure now that acoustic is just the exact instrument for me. one reason i really dig Sphongle alot.
