I use tap water from my house. I don’t ph it every time But I’ve been using it for a while and the ph stays at about 6.5. After I add the nutes the water goes down to the 5.0-5.5 range and I ph it back up to 6.3. (I use the drops to ph so it’s not an exact measurement.)
ive never heard any one say ph the water to 6.6 before. I’m not saying your wrong. I’ll do some research about it. And I’d like to hear your science behind lit if you don’t mind explaining it.

The whole veg stage I only used water.
And after the first two waterings being on a 12/12 light schedule, which is when I was seeing deficiencies. I starting using half strength nutes. Ive fed w nutes every watering since then except one time when I start seeing what I thought was a mag def. I gave her straight water.

thanks for tuning in @Kushash , I appreciate your time.
I'd like that discussion especially if @Budzbuddha takes part.

I was just chatting about PH and soil in this thread.

I wanted to @ budz to the thread to get his opinion but I don't like doing that.

I felt the new grower had more serious issues and the PH discussion taking place was a distraction from him dealing with the more urgent problem.

As far as what water should be PH'ed to for soil, do a google search and let me know what you find and a link to your research.
