Riz' First Time Stealth Scrog

Your scrog set up is meant to create and even canopy this way your bud sites will see a lot of light?
Your scrog set up was not meant to reduce your plant height due to height restrictions of your stealth cabinet right?

I was told that even after you go into flowering you could still pull the shoots down, but eventually you have to let the shoots grow naturally through the screen. Once your plant stops growing, that is when you would let it grow naturally with out training it underneath the screen.

Bam, the answers are yes and no.

Yes, i was going for somewhat of an even canopy, which I have, mostly, at least compared with a plant left alone to grow naturally. But I was also doing it to create more tops, which it has definately done.

Also, I picked this method because of height restrictions as well as I didn't have alot of room to work with. So that answer is yes, or no, whichever it is. I'm high, forgive me!:eyesmoke:

And your last statement " Once your plant stops growing, that is when you would let it grow.....", i dunno, like I said, I'm pretty high, but somethin about this just isn't makin any sense!!! How will something grow when it's stopped growin?? Just clownin bro!! I feel ya, but like I said, this is my first time tryin this way, so I just decided to stop trainin when I flipped 'em.

Anyway, i'll keep showin what's happening, an' you can keep postin on it, cool? :peace:

hey riz, I am on my first scrog too, i think it just takes some getting used to, knowing when to flip and when to stop training. I did mine early becuz I wanted them 2 finish be4 my outdoors, so my screen didn't get filled all the way. I recently just cut the screen apart now that I am 30 days 12/12 because I was wasting space and the canopy can support itself now. Come by and check my journal out. everything looks good and you will be please. I have about 65 tops outta my 2 plants. rock on bro

Yeah BH, it def. does take a little gettin used to it, but I'm also def. happy with the results so far!! Your grow is pimpin my friend!! And they said pimpin was dead!! :hump:Hahaha I can only hope mine do nearly as well. I really need to get a 250 HPS conversion bulb, or I know my results won't be what they could. We'll see if I can swing it soon, hopefully.

Thank's for the kind words my friend, and I'll get back on your thread to post my thoughts real soon!!:peace:

Alrighty, here's a few new pics ( actually they are from 2 days ago, but who's countin? ) and you can see they just keep growin! I'm done trainin under the screen, but I did take a few of the taller tops and tied 'em down a little just to keep the canopy a little more even.

So here ya go!! Comments/critiques are very welcome, so let me know whatcha think!:peace:

Here's a couple pics of new plants my friend gave me. Unsure of the genetics, but obviously very heavy Indica dominant. They're from seed, so i'll have to sex them at some point; hopefully they'll show some preflowers when they are mature enough. I'm stoked to see what they turn out to be, but the plants look to be some dankness, so i'll keep my fingers crossed!!!:weed:.................:peace:

Damn man, your right, your plants are really taking off from your screen. I think my tallest cola is only 3 inches above the screen. Looks like you will have a great harvest as long as you can keep that jungle tamed down. Should be about done the stretch I would think, unless you got some stretchy sativas...in that case get ready to move that light up. good luck bro, everything looks good. I would have to credit my buds looking the way they do to my light. 1000watt HPS not even 30 inches from the screen makes plenty of light for those babies to get to work

Alright, sorry, I've been a little busy lately ( check the other thread in my sig!! ), but here are a few shots from this morning. Everything is lookin good so far. I think they are about 3 weeks into flowering. I know there aren't gonna get huge with that 250 metal halide, plus the heat has just been crazy lately and I don't really have proper ventilation set up, but fuck it, somethin's better than nothin, right? It's all for a good cause................me!!:bigjoint:

Oh yeah, the burnt leaf tips are from the Safer's spray that I used for powdery mildew that got introduced by that fuckin Sour Diesel clone. I knew it might have it when I brought it home, but I kept it in a seperate room for a week and sprayed it down. Guess I should have done 2 weeks and sprayed more. Lesson learned.

damn riz, thought I'd check out your scrog and you've got it going on. I wonder if I could keep a couple of mothers alive this way for clones. Very interesting with the string. I always thought scrog used wire fence that just stayed during the whole grow. Reading BH it sounds like you remove the string at some point?
So looking good bro. Keep us updated. slab

btw, that clone looks dank

Thank's GTO!! And yeah, hahahaha, I've got your grow subscribed, I just haven't posted yet, but you've definately got your shit dialed in. I love your little hidden control panel!!

My only piece of advice thus far learned from doin scrog is to allow room for watering and maintenance under the screen. Luckily I didn't run into a problem; my little watering can fits under the screen, but just barely. With a bigger space and plants further back, I can see the potential for getting screwed on access.

My two cents anyway!

Thank's for stoppin bro, and I'll jump back on your thread here soon!:peace:

Quick update.........Everything is coming along nicely, and I've got no complaints. Six weeks in and they are getting frosty as hell. They aren't getting huge, but I didn't expect that, so it's all good. And from the looks of them, they can still go another month probably, so they'll do some fattening up I'm sure. I'll be happy with a couple oz's of dankness, and dankness it will be for sure!!:weed:

Oh yeah, and a pic of my two little fatty unknown indica momma's in training. My friend is budding a couple of them out right now, so we'll see if they're worth keepin around. My thoughts from the look and smell is that this shit is gonna be some couch lock dankness!! We'll see!:peace:

Oh I see it now.. Lol but its not being utilized correctly.. The canopy is way too uneven.. You can get a more even canopy just by LST.. But SCROG is the best way imho if used properly.. Which is not the case in those pics. The weed looks good though.

Alright, so I chopped 'em.

They could have gone another week or so, but I need the space they were in, so they had to go.

I'm pleased with the results on my first time tryin this method, and I'm sure I'll try it again.

The nugs are frosty as hell and stink like crazy!! Could have been a little fatter, but hey, from a 250 M.H. I'm not complainin at all!!

Anyway, here's some pics for ya!!

Mmm Riz! :weed: those buds look damn tasty! what's the strain again?

I was doing a scrog under a T5 that I was planning on flowering with. had 4 little plants all in the same container but then I picked a 600w so I took them out from the screen so I could mother them for clones to keep a perpetual. lol sorry I'm rambling, pretty high bongsmilie
should check the journal I started for it- https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/236487-nbs-600w-hps-basement-corner.html
