Rockwool moisture level

Okay, sorry no pics, I have to borrow a friends camera later for that.
So my plants looked kinda droopy, I looked through the forums and people said lots of times that's from over watering. Now I'm wondering how wet the rockwool should be? Like dry with barley any moisture, or damp. Cuz right now they're straight up damp through and through.
Thanks for the help!

Rockwool is fer noobs, but anyways. You want them to be damp, but not damp all the time, otherwise no oxygen will get to the roots. You want to get them water and nutes, but you also want to let them breathe. Remember this and you can't go wrong. Well, yeah you can, but you won't over water. :bigjoint:

Yeah rockwool retains alot of moisture. In fact it retains so much moisture for such a long period of time(regardless of humidity levels) that I refuse to use it. Youve most likely over watered them and because rockwool is such a water hog they arent getting enough oxygen to the root zone. Wait until your rockwool is 'nearly' but not quite dry before watering them this way your roots can breath.

I would water them and don't water them until you lift the cube and it feels light compared to heavy. once every 2-3 days.

Ha. Well I stopped watering them and I came back like 10 hours later and freaked cuz all my plants looked dead. I watered them and now they're looking pretty good. I think 1 might have died permanently from the underwatering, but then again it has wilted or turned brown or anything its just that its leaves are still really shrivled.
Once again thanks for help .

I hated rockwool at first. It takes alot to figure it out .Practice with some before u start.I now use two layers(small cube sheets) stacked.Makes it alot easier.Take sprouts off once they get about half inch down into bottom layer of rw.Wait to long and you rip roots.
