So after I wet the rockwool then squezz a little water out I put the seed in then what? Do I leave it in the dark till it sprouts or what? It's in a top drip dwc 5 gallon bucket.... so knowing that..... what is it sun or no sun?

While it doesn't need sun just yet, it needs warmth. A single CFL works well, provides enough heat to keep it warm and will give it a bit of light once it breaks the surface. I like to give it light, kinda like nature it gets light when it meets the surface. I had one come up this AM and since my light was slightly to the side you could see the plant leaning towards the light so even at this young stage it obviously wanted more light.

If that's your preference....But 24 for veg is just fine. Easier to just leave it on all the time, less to go wrong. I've seen many a harvest with no issues.

It doesn't matter, if you don't have the light yet you can just leave it in the dark, it will still take 3 days at least

I wouldn't squeeze the RW, just shake out a good amount of water (after ph'd presoak overnight) or use a saladspinner as not to compress the air cavities. I personally wrap seeds in moist paper towel and let them pop over night before i put them in 1" RW cubes and give them full 24 hour light for the first week. I make squares of 4 cubes and use 1 dripper per set because they wick up water so well. Hope that helps
