I know this thread is largely about going downhill, though I’m someone who enjoys both cross country (skinny skis) and downhill options - really xc more these days, as my knees take it better and it’s overall a great workout,

On the cross-country front, all hail Jesse Diggins, the first American to win an individual gold in the cc world championships, one of a number of US firsts in the sport for Jesse. Just phenomenal. She trains locally in VT near where I live and I’m proud to have crossed paths with her a few times - an amazing athlete, with some season left to go to see if she can take over the top overall spot for the winter. Number 2 now. US Nordic athletes have really put themselves on the map in recent years. She is also the first American to win gold in the Olympics. Amazing human as well, who is happy to visit with local kids and tries to inspire the next generation.
