What an utter crock of bullshit. If Romney did not want to be president, why did he run and waste everybody's time?

desert dude, good post. This perfectly illustrates political spin and how quickly it happens. Imagine how the unborn children, in 60 years, will be able to educate you about this election from the internet sources they find.

Then we who lived it will know what we should think about it!

The more I think about the claim that "Mitt Romney had no desire to be president" the more annoyed I become. Why did he run? Was it because God called him to do it? Was it because nobody else was qualified so he had to accept the heavy burden. Total narcissistic bullshit!

I would rather have the first name that appears in the Oakland, CA white pages as president than Romney or Obama.

Do you think he was using his money?

Do you think it's like deciding to run for Student Council?

Presidential Politics is war. It is a fight for power of the Party across multi-generations and through many Presidencies.

Sometimes, you have to sacrifice a pawn. Romney thought he could win. The Party thought he had a chance over the other contenders. The Party has to run somebody without ruining them for later. It's Real.

Do you think Bob Dole stood a chance? Walter Mondale?

It is a big game, in front of the Press-jokers.

All this talk of money is just envy. Don't take it personal. That's what they want. It's vast sums from big donors. It is about the agenda, not the man. Two more years, everyone gets another shot and a new crop of "thinkers" gets goofed by the Press.

It involves the "white horse prophesy" Desert dude. The story goes that in a time of great strife in America someone from the Mormon church will be selected to lead the country out of chaos. It is conjectured that Romney saw himself as the anointed one and he went as a reluctant hero having been called by God, he didn't necessarily WANT to do it. "Lord let this cup pass"
This would serve to explain why he actually expected to win in spite of the realtiy he was faced with, he may have believed that God would intervene and make him president because it was ordained. This is the only explaination for why he may not have really wanted to be president but being a man of God, agreed to serve anyway.

i agree with him, ...ANYONE would have been an improvement over what we got.

This statement illustrates why Republicans lost. They actually believed what you posted, that anyone would have been better. The American people don't go for such blanket nonesense, a hell of a lot of peple would NOT be better. So long as they viewed the race as one where the only legitimate vote was against a candidate rather than for one - which is implied by the statement "anyone would be better", they they were doomed from the start to lose.

Obama will have shown that he was indeed a superior candiate, much as the right will never allow themselves to admit it. They have a firm habit of not allowing themselves to see the obvious.

I think the only mormon to lead anything in politics is the democratic mouth piece called HARRY REID......I can't think of another one?........nitro..
