First of all I'd like to thank everybody for there info. This site was instramental in my success. Mainly in just undersatndig what is going on......this is my first time after all

Equipment

One hydro kit..im sure youll recognize it
8 4 ft flourescent tubes(4cool and 4 warm)
3 100 watt cfl outdoor lamps

So in the pictures youll see some just after there transfer during seedlin stage up till now. From germination till today was 30 days. Pretty quick. I am very impressed with the kit. It came with good quality nutes and it has been a breeze to grow these babies. I did however buy a larger airstone at the pet store, it works using the "wick" method. We used the tube lights both red and blue spectrum for veg. The three Cfl's came later, the last week of veg. we will use those to flower along with the red tubes. I figure the red cant hurt even though they arent that strong.

on the pics the plants are all different hieghts because I got some name brand seeds and then an indoor mix. it has proven to be very fun and I should get good choices for round two. I just cloned them, I have 8 plants total and and i did two clones each. I experimented with topping techs as well as two plants per pod so the set up is like this

1 blueberry topped
1 blueberry fim'd
1 blue topped sharing a pot with a mix seed untopped
2 mix seed sharing untopped
1 mix un topped
1 mix topped

Im try this sog tech, im flowering with the tallest plant almost 12 in and the shortest at about 8 in. I have prune the bottom to create a kind of canopy.

IS THIS CORRECT???????

Pruning was only dried leaves from bottom, un wanted fan leaves from bottom or any that covered what I thought might grow big juicy lovelis. the topping and cloning. I have deduced and set my room so that I have at least 100 watts per sq ft of grow space, red and blue specrum for both veg and flowering stage. a small fan is in the corner, It is in an unused closet so I have blacked out all outside light and the walls were already flat white.

I will have my choice of clones once these are sexed and they should be ready to flower right when these are harvested. So the box looks great right now but will be thinned once the males reveal themselves. Round two will be all females crowding the box like it is now.

WHAT I'VE LEARNED

1. create your plan of attack before you begin (I have avoided many nightmares by thinking it out first.

2.There is no such thing as to many pitchers, buckets funnels or any other water related apperatus.

3.Hydro(for me anyway) has proven to be the fastes and easiest way to grow these lovlies. I had friends who grew in dirt with poor lighting and the things look like the charlie brown christmas tree.

4. Rollitup.org is one of the best sights to do your research and learn the important things, no matter how small they might be.

TO ALL THE OTHER NEWBIES OUT THERE......LISTEN TO YOUR ELDERS... THEY KNOW.

Looks like you've gotten things underway. Good luck to you on your grow, and may you have plenty of bountiful harvests.

Ok my clones have been going for about four days....and they dont look so hot....yellow tips...kind of dead looking..some seem ok, there green and perky at least about half look like they aren't going to make it...I used half strength nut. solution to dip the gro-dan pods but have been misting with water...ph level is ok what else would cause the clones to turn brown and yellow and shrively...

Ok, identified two males today and pulled them. The matching clones were also disposed of. 6 of 8 left and there clones....well honestly it looks like there may be some growth and the new is perhaps feeding off the older bottom fan leaves. I still have hope for succesful cloning...for now it is "hurry up and wait"

Yeah, thanks for the response and advice. I have seen this methos of cloning but i was affraid to try it because im doing hydro so the roots might get all messed up in the hydroton. This method looks super easy for soil though.

As of today I have three clones with roots showing out of the bottom of the gro-dan...I guess its not as bad as i thought...i think using nut. solution(even at 1/2 strength) to soak the gro-dan in the beggining is what cause all the browning. next time I will try using just water and see if they stay healthier.

I will post more pics when the ladies start showin me some love

Alright, if youve been following along, I planted 8 plants, 2 were male. that left me 6. Out of 16 clones ihad to pull 4 because they came from the males and I had one traggicly part this world. Now I have 11. After much worry and weird yellowing and browning and crispyness the recovery I have transfered into my new home made hydro unit..2 bb's,..2 unknown strains(called spyder cause of the long narrow leaves)...and 2 other unknown strains(lovingly known as Daniel) Originaly started from seed..now the females are flowering...the clones are transfered and the slower clones are still in the seedling tray with a dome.

I will post some new pics with the veg room and the DIY hydro unit this weekend.

ok here's the home made hydro set up.

I used a bus tub
and some restaurant silver ware holders
air pump
felt strips for a wick

im curiose, weve been talking alot about cloning

these are the first sets of clones from my seed plants
can I use them as mother plants and still have good lovin'?:blsmoke:
by the way the bus tub lid was harder to get through then I thought a reel pain in the budd...butt:mrgreen:

the 2 in the middle and on the left are uknown strains...any guesses?

News Update.....after 3 weeks of flowering.... boom..a set of balls on one of the mix seeds, we think its a sativa but it was the last one to sex and it is male..the others(2 blueberries and one unknown mix) are full of white hairs and lookin fantastic. Veg is straight with moms(first set of clones from these) and SOG will be put into full effect round two.

by the way..How many clones could I fit per sq foot for SOG without being too crowded?

Hahaha, no worries, man. I think 3 max for 1ft should be bloody grand. Well, technically 6, if it's squared. You get the idea. (also depends on strain)

Sweet, the strain is blueberry and an unknown strain, it grows just like the blue berry but looks different and is growing more white hairs at a faster rate.:peace:

Very nice... I've never grown blueberry, but I just bought an oz. of it, and I think it's one of my all time favorites. Good luck with the grow, keep me updated. Peace. It tastes SOOOO fucking fruity...
