Rookie needs advice

Have one plant about six weeks into flowering.

Growing in a closet under flourescent lights.

Lots of buds and they look really good.

As this is my first time, had two concerns:

1) Is it too late to clone?

2) How do I know when it's time to harvest?

Any advice would be appreciated.

yes its to late to clone

you can tell when its time to harvest because the little thrichomes turn an amber color, you need a 30x microscope to look at them, when about 20-50% are amber is a good time to harvest

Trichomes? You mean on the leaves of the bud?

Can you tell just by looking at the buds at all?

Thought they would change color?

yeah the little "chrystals" on the leaves/bud...yeah your can sortve see a slight change in color without a microscope when its ready, like a golden tint to it almost.... you can also go by when the majority of hairs turn red

But no chance of cloning this late?

Didn't think it would turn out so well, wish I would've done it earlier.

If you clone this late , that would mean it would take weeks for the clones to revert back to its vegetative state when flowering has been induced. Also what will happen is that you probably will get bud formation ok if it is an autoflowering plant I presume but too much confusion for the would be plants. Some stress can be used to your advantage. Just not this type in your case.

So do ya think it's worth a try or not?

Some of the lower branches only have smaller buds on them, and I'd be willing to sacrifice one if there's any chance it would work.

I don't want to harm the mother though.
