Root bound Kalashnikova

The thing is I have 2 Kalashnikova from Green house seeds. They are 2 months but they only are 20-25 cm (7-9''). I think I made a mistake making the first transplant because I left them about a month in a yoghurt pot after they germinated. I've read that if u leave them in a container where they don't have more room to grow plants become root bound, and as a consequence they remain small. So, my question is: if I cut clones and put them to root will they inherit the stunted root system and would also be tiny??

I hope that those with more experience can help. Saludos!

yeah just break the roots up a little bit when you transplant and watch em take off in their new home.

Enzo,
Being rootbound is not such a bad thing for some plants. Most clone Mommas become rootbound. That's how Bonzai trees are kept small...by confining the roots.

But if you want a plant to grow big...bigger pots/roots are the answer. One technique I've read about and used is, during transplant, to make several vertical cuts along the rootmass. It encourages root growth after the transplant. Only necessary if truly rootbound.
