Root Disease???

Can anyone tell me if this is healthy or what it looks like and how to cure it if it’s isn’t healthy? Running a Hydro setup with air filters in bucket. Have the roots hanging about 4-5 inches above water level when net pot is closed.

How does the top portion of the roots look to you all. I know the bottom ones that are in water look pretty healthy but the bit that’s in the air has some white on it and just are a bit dried out. Is this normal?

You only need a couple inches(1-2) of space between the bottom of the net pot and the water. Your roots at this stage should be almost entirely submerged

Really, I've heard the opposite and had got root rot when fully submerging last time from what i was told

Well that definitely isn't discoloration from nutrients. That's a dead root aka root rot. After a couple months the roots should be filling that bucket. What are you using in the nutrient solution?

I had a mild case I believe a month ago so I cleaned. All roots and cut of prior dead one and lowered water level which i assumes caused those dead roots. Help. What should I do

Did the water level drop bellow the net pot more then a couple inches?
And listen to billy DWC buckets love them .
Wish i could do vertical that way.

Well guys she looks to be doing better from whatever I was doing wrong. I raised the water levels after cycling the bucket. She’s been bouncing back great in these last two weeks. Has alot of new root growth and after some defoliation to ease stress she’s got some great leaf growth. I’ve been LSTing since day 1. So now hoping to have 3 main stems w others branches off of those. How’s she look to you all?
