Root growth in flowering

alright, now ive been looking on the forums for a little while now and couldnt find the answer to this, so i figured id just ask. Does significant root growth occur during the flowering stage? More specifically, i know that the plants can get two to three time as large as they are while in veg, so will i need to account for this in the size of my pots?

Yes the roots keep growing during flowering they don't grow as much but they do grow.

awesome! thanks for the info! so would it be a good idea to transplant and then flower immediately after so as to give the plant space to grow while it flowers? or should i transplant and then veg for a bit to get the roots a little better out of the shock of being transplanted?
