Hello fellow growers!
Im currently growing one LSD and one Northren Lights and it all went good until a week ago. One of my plants (dont know wich strain is who) is showing some disturbing signs and i dont know what to do. First i thought that i was overwatering (even thou i just water every 2nd or 3rd day) so i left it without water for 4 days but this just made it worse. The Top of the plant looks fine as shown in the pictures but the bottom half is fucked up. The leaves are saggy, dry and is starting to turn yellow. I watered it this morning and it shows some sign of improvement but is far from the rest of the plant. So i dont think its underwatering and my PH level is 6.9.
The thing im worried about is root rot... I recently saw that alot of roots ar coming out of the bottom of the bucket. I didnt know what to do then so i just left it like that, but i guess the roots has been in alot of water for longer periods and that goes hand in hand with root rot, right? This is my first grow operation and im having difficulties identifying what the problem is so does anybody know if its root rot or something else? And if its root rot, what should i do? Is it a fair guess that the roots outside the basket is supporting the bottom half of the plant and that is why the plant looks healthy on the upper half?
My english is crappy so heres some pics;

Any ideas?
Its been flowering for almost 3 weeks and the temp is about 28-29 degrees and the bulb is about 25-30 cm away from the top (hps 400w)
Thanks in advance!
Btw, is it alright to cut the roots? I want to do it because they arent doing anything good outside the basket, but im afraid that i will kill the plant and that would haunt me for the rest of my life.
