For veg you can get away with 15w CFLs per foot if you want but I wouldn't go more then 1 foot between per 15w CFL. Flowering you need to most power. The way I had my setup done I was pulling 1/4 ounce off each plant every week because I put 1 plant in to flower under a single 45w CFL. When Flowering the tops are the gold spot the bottom parts isn't going to produce the biggest buds unless you give them alot of light at the bottom to but that's where the LST comes in hand because you can train your plant to grow flatter like its on the ground and thus making as much of the plant budding sites able to get the light. this can be very useful if you don't want to carry alot of plants you can grow your plants the LST way since the new growth grows up to the light.

2 45w CFLs per plant can give you a nice yield. If you can have them so that they aren't stright up and down but so that its sideways then that will cover more area but also if you can make a reflective hood using mylar or some thing close to 100% reflective. The mylar here is 96% and you can almost see your self in it but you can't use mirrors or tinfoil because those will cause hot spots.

with 2 85w CFLs and depending on the strain you can pull maybe 1/2 ounce tops. Do SOG (Sea of Green) because with CFLs you can get better results with a SOG
