So i was about to move my seedling from the moist paper towel to there soil i was just wondering if i could cover the tap root in rooting hormone, would it help, could it hurt? Also its a small container about 2x2x3 i was wondering if i should mix a little mexican bat guano in or is it to hot for a seedling? thanks for the help

Myself, I mix powdered rooting hormone in the soil first.
I figure, hey, it can't hurt.

I once wiped rooting gel on the main stem of my plant that was 12" tall . Well the plant stopped growing and where I wiped the gel, it just blew up like a trunk in the middle of the plant. Not a good idea at all.

Well thanks guys i guess ill just skip it, i figure if it was any good i would have found some one using it while i was searching for an answer.

I have learned in this community that it is always good to ask before you do something. Unless some one does HEAVY research on a subject. The more research I do on a subject, the more comfortable I feel in doing it. I will still ask, just to get someone to 2nd my idea. Peace man. Oh yeah, are you gonna update your grow or was you just needing a little help??

I think straight water is best for seedlings. I like to use Superthrive after it gets solid roots and only use it for a couple weeks.

I use a light dose of either Superthrive a couple times or A light Oliva's Cloning Solution mix when feeding like every other feeding, I feel it helps with rooting, root growth and prevents shock.

Well after i decided not to use the rooting hormone for my MJ seed , i felt i needed to experiment mostly cuz i was bored but also cuz i want to get a better idea, so i have some watermelon seed germinating as we speak. I used seeds from the same package one was soaked in water for 12 hrs then put in soil with no rooting powered, i had another soak in water for 12 hrs then went in to dirt with 1/2 tsp of rooting hormone. Ill keep on eye on them to see how they grow and if there is any difference between the 2. This is not gana be a controlled experiment but it should tell me if the powder hurts the seed and i should have some fall watermelon :).

O yeah and the seed is gana be for my grow, a lot of my seedling have died about 12 only 1 has survived so i have to keep plating them till i stop killing them so far i have learned not to let my plats fall of my windowsill , not to let the lights fall on my ladies and last but not least avoid miracle grow and time realized fertilizers. Idk i can grow fruits and veggies just fine, there aint much to it but, but growing in doors in a small space is a totally different animal.

I looked it up and Rootone I use has thiram. Thiram is an ectoparasiticide. It is used to prevent fungal diseases in seed and crops. Thiram is a type of sulfur fungicide.
So it helps with Damping off, or mold. So I don't think it is good on a seed's tap root. I hope that helps.

Don't complicate things. It's just a sprout, it doesn't even had leaves yet...
Seedlings/Sprouts are very easy to burn. The smallest amount of fertilizer could kill them. You don't wanna start adding nutes to a seedling until it has it's first set of TRUE leaves, and then only at 1/4 - 1/8 strength. If you want you can add a small amount of root booster like Roots Excellurator or SuperThrive, but only a few drop per liter for now.
I have trouble even telling you that cause I have a feeling your just looking for permission to over-do it. Remember KISS, keep it simple stoner. Seedlings need literally NOTHING for the first two weeks AT LEAST. Longer id your soil has slow release nutrients or is pre-amended with nutrients, organic or otherwise.
