Rooting issues- cloning northern lights

Hey there - been cloning for a while, so I'm scratching my head in this one.
I bought some NL seeds, grew them, took a cutting to make a mother, grew it compact and small, and then took about 10 clones about 10 days ago. I still haven't seen a root sprout out the sides of my jiffy cubes. The mother cutting made roots in 5 days- so I'm perplexed why I can't second generation clones to root..?
Only thing that's different I'd perhaps these 10 may be exposed to only 5 degrees cooler temps than the original cutting. I've tried to move them to warmer parts of the house and outside with the dome on. Is it possible that second generation clones have been bred out of the strain?

Bred out of the strain? Patience. You have to realize as the seasons change so does the environment they live in. Don't think you can fool them...they know the environment more intimately then us. 5 degrees one way or the other should not make that much of a difference. At 10 days you should not be using the hood. 72-75 has been the best temp for my cloning and during the summer they take longer to root. I've had strains take a good 4-5 weeks to root in the summer months, the key to keeping them long enough to root is a fresh mist of 1:1:1 keeps them alive if they haven't rooted by the tenth day.

>>>I never see roots after 10 days in peat pellets, why I do not know...and I use rooting hormone. I transplant into my medium anyways, and always see growth occur after another week or 2.

Patience is paramount,

Good luck!

Ahh, ok. I'll be a bit more patient. I chose this "mom" by her aggressive growth, and the cutting reaffirmed that by rooting in 5 days. So I kinda expected the same results with her clones. I'll supplement some very weak nutes till she sprouts some roots! Thanks guys- as always, a wiki of info!!!
Cheers
