roots in boiling water

Is this true. By placing roots in boiling/hot water when harvesting will push all sugars/starches back into plant. then turn upside down for two days dark place (normal harvesting procedure), then cut branches remove Outer leaves and reconvene normal drying procedure. As harvest time is a coming I was wondering if this is wise to do ???

ive never done or seen anyone do this and honestly after the whole growing process of 3months (or w/e you grew for) i doubt anything done on the last day is two is going to make a significant improvement.

Yeah just like hangin the whole root ball dirt and all. ha ha If you leave the fans on it will use that energy while drying but mostly to reproduce. I just trim them on site, alot easier than after they shrivel and curl.

as much as i want to strangle whoever puts these ideas in people's heads, revisiting the idea every once in a while is how the newbs learn about cutting through the bullshit.

thank you, mysterious op with one post, for providing us with an excuse to to set the record straight.

don't boil your roots, people.

While the nail in the stem thing isnt factual,it has been proven that while stress diminishes yield it does create a more potent plant, if a plant thinks its being attacked over n over, such as being eaten by a cow or pruned by a human it makes more resins/oils/thc etc,as a defense, hence why it has them in the first place, same applies for if it gets overly dried out in the growing medium etc,Im not suggesting people stress their plants as it will effect yield, but it does make for more potent buds,I personally pick all my major fan leaves 2 weeks before chopping,so as to shock the plant into getting frostier, and it works, may loose a gram or 2,but the buds are frostier,
