Looking at my roots today some of them are hanging out of the drainage hole lol so not only do they get the water from the plate that collects the runoff water but they get o2 :)

dude r u using co2 iv gone and made some yeast and suger contaners . over the last three days all my plants have turnd really deep green and buds are producing trcs faster than ever before great fun this d.iy.

yeah i do use the same diy co2. just was wodering if o2 enrichment for the roots could work the same in soil the way it does in hydro

the reason why hydroponics works so well is that they alow a lot of O2 to get to the roots. makeing the plants develope faster and better (def. faster)so i was trying to capture the same idea with soil. yes roots get O2 but not as much as in hydro

plants leafs breath in CO2 and need lights
but there roots breath in O2 and need darkness

O2 is Oxygen

there is a definte result with the o2 powerd water buds are developing faster and the girls are drinkin alot of it and foliage is much greener and stronger.:peace:

so have we decided that straws or holes in soil would be benificial?

also i had some yeast+sugar mixture going on, and asked somone if it would help. they said it was not enough co2.

so im going to mix up another batch right now.

Dude I had that same Idea today. Weird. I am going to pick up a air pump and give it a whirl. Also does anyone know an easy way to deliver CO2 I was thinking of buying a bunch of those co2 cartridges at the wal and trying to find a way to slowly seep it into the atmosphere. Maybe a cracker, you know from when you do whipits, that may work...

I posted this question in another thread and theyacted like I was crazy. Has anyone in here tried music stimulation? I saw it on mythbusters where they put diff types of music on the same type of plant, to see if it gave diff results and it worked. Some grew really fast while others grew slower and one I believe the one that was listening to country died. Now would I be crazy for this or no?

i dont see how it could hurt, i just would probly make it as bassfull as i could maybe something to do with the vibration, like how a message gives better blood circulation, and i would not do this at light off when there sleeping let them sleep

Hahahahahaha yea I do let it sleepy when its nigh nights time..Hey since you are the lighting go to guy. do you know if taking some hid headlamps hooking them to a 12v converter box.and using them for flower?? Now I dont know what kind of light they are hps not likely but maybe MH. I will look it up.

Ok so here is what I found not bad but I dont think its enough.But the good thing is they only use 35watts of power. you could possibly use 4 of them with a cool tube setup and have some great grow power. Sorry for ranting in the wrong thread.

The automotive HID (high intensity discharge) headlight lamps are often referred to as xenon lamps but they are more of a specialized metal halide lamp than anything else. The main part numbers are:
D2S - plain
D2R - like D2S but with heat-resistant black paint on spots to control the light output pattern
D1S - like D2S, but with integral ignitor
D1R - like D2R but with integral ignitor
The above are 35 watt lamps. D2S and D1S types nominally produce 3200 lumens of light and the D2R and D1R types nominally produce 2800 lumens of light.

fist- i am no where close to being the lighting go to guy- i just do a lot of research- i still use cfls- you should start a thread on that and see if you get any real big wigs to help you

second the bigwigs would prolly only till you to jusst get a 150w hps and be done with it (you could find a 100w hps in the lighting sec. at homedepote or lows. i think you still need a ballast which they also sell) and if you go tis rout let me know how it comes out

3rd there is also a way to build you own hps light and ballast part by part. i wouldnt do it but this is what i found a the web:
